With every character having a "Meat" model, I could see them releasing Meat as a costume for everyone.

I'm still sticking with Fujin. I would be very shocked if it was Shinnok, I'm not completely ruling him out but it would just be silly to have your main (or even co-) boss of MK10 as DLC. I'd rather see Tanya and Reiko's characters properly fetched out to max potential in MK10, they're two supporting character that we still really know little about, other than Tanya is nearly identical to Jade in many ways but a full-blown traitor. Fujin's a God, they can write him any old way and he's still just the God of Wind like Raiden to Thunder. Cool powers but doesn't need a strong rhyme or reason for being in the tournament during ladder mode. He would be the best candidate for DLC like Kenshi was.

That's the reason I think the character most likely to be the 4th DLC is Reiko. He is the only one remained that is CONFIRMED to be in the Mortal Kombat Tournament, since Shang announces his fight. Other characters appear, but they there more like easter eggs I think. Wasn't Frost supposed to become a cryomancer after being tutored by the younger Sub-Zero? I don't think there was time for Sub-Zero to teach her anything in this game's time line yet.

Doesn't Fujin show up in one of the endings?

Cryomancer is a race so her skills are inborn, Sub-Zero only learnt her to increase her powers. Anyway, I don't think consequence of story is important to NRS. In MK9 Kenshi has already learnt telekinesis (before he met Ermac between MK4-MKDA), Quan Chi has Dragon King tattoos on his body during MK1 events... If we gain full skilled Frost now there won't be any surprise.

Fujin is shown in Kratos' ending, so it wouldn't really count. I don't remember if he appears in another ending. But Havik appears in Noob's ending.

Fujin is just a badass.

Reiko is pretty cool too.(even if he is shao kahns man-bi*ch)

as for for Frost i think most people will agree she was one of more popular characters created through the DA-Armageddon arc,just like Kenshi. i wopuldn't say she going to be the 4th dlc character but i have a strong feeling she's going to be dlc eventually, if not perhaps saved until MK10.

well idk about what bbblp said.. one thing's for sure, I'd be disappointed with Kintaro. not because I don't like him, not because I don't want all three bosses to be available for offline at some point but because the video promoted ??? as a new kombatant or something? now, to add up to bbblp's post, it could be Kintaro also for: a) marketing tricks used before like the preorder bonuses that became a pack of DLC b) they only used a shadow for the character to keep it secret like the mk universe is always full of and best of all c) the model is normal so everyone is trying to guess a 'normal' character so if it's kintaro, a huge 4-handed beast, everyone would be 'yeah sure NRS, THAT shadow belonged to Kintaro -.-' :P

having said all that and that I do want bosses available at some point for offline cause all of them are pretty awesome, my take is that it's someone new despite the leaks and all that. either new or guest, I'm hoping for the former. I think we'll be getting cyber Smoke, Tanya and maybe Shinnok at some point mostly because boon mentioned those before in his tweets. personally, I'd also want to see Reiko or Fujin with an overhaul for both but they feel like they'll be quite important in the next game so.. I don't think so. of course you could always say that nothing can prevent NRS from releasing a DLC character that will sell and give them something entirely different than what they have in their plans for the next game but yeah

I think (and hope) it will be Fujin. Not only because of the audio leak, but also because he seems to be the most logical. When you put it in perspective, we have characters that wield fire, ice, electricity, telekinesis, acid, sound, smoke, shadow, spirit energy, sorcery, steel, explosives, and blood. What's missing?

Now that you guys said Reiko was announced in the game as being a fighter in the tournament, I personally believe he is NOT the mystery character.The ad did specify "A new entrant to the Mortal Kombat tournament." so that me that crushes most of my hopes for Reiko. I guess it will be Fujin or someone like that but deep inside me I want a brand new character with amazing abilities.

It will most likely not be cyber smoke because it would be pointless when they could just make smoke another skin and instead of him having the smoke ball thrown from his hand it will be shot from his chest and everything else will be the same.

But it is a strong possibility that Frost makes it in sooner or later. Since they already have her character model in the game fighting in backgrounds.

Lastly, Cyber Smoke. As Boon hinted at in a early tweet about DLC, something to the effect of Rain or Cyber Smoke, which one should be first for DLC.
To me this implies that Cyber Smoke is planned for DLC and possibly around the same time as Rain.

I doubt Kintaro or any other boss will be unlockable just yet.

I guess I'm leaning to 50/50 now on it being Fujin or Reiko now... but PLEASE be Fujin!!!

Never noticed that. Are you sure?

I think it will be Frost. We have her fighting on the Night Pit background, the hidden phrase "Could Frost be hibernating?", and they released a female, male, and have another male Rain lined up next so they will likely go with a female. If not Frost it could be Tanya.

Based on the description we got for the 4th character from the season pass, it's bound to be someone brand new or who never really had a story. Following that, Tremor or a new character make perfect sense. Tremor never had a story, so he fits that description well. Reiko could also loosely fit that as he never had a story either, although I was more skeptical of him because he was already a character when he fought with Shao Kahn as his general.

My seaspn pass theory doesn't have ingame support, but it still has some evidence to support it. This time, NRS can't ask the fans because noone can agreee on any one character; everyone wants someone different. With Kenshi and Rain, however, everyone could agree on them being included as DLC. So this time, the development team at NRS is going to have to pick based on who they think is the best, not what the fans want.

I don't think it will be Kintaro because that article is really old, but any character is possible to be honest.

That's a foolish theory, because Kintaro is certainly not the 4th character.

It is, of course, Tremor or Hornbuckle. I don't know how many more times I have to say it.

But you'll all realize when the announcement comes.
