Skarlet vignette + DLC characters confirmed!

nope sorry to burst ur bubble dude but good guess. i knew she would be an ermac rip off fused blood really,really. oh and rain can wait for him .

looks like a different mk character. who u guys think it is.

I'd be really happy if they release small grab bag of freebies with each character, along the same lines of these MK3 skins. That'd be pretty cool and a really nice gesture by NRS. If they were worried about Microsoft shutting down attempts at free DLC they could just lump it in as a pack so it wouldn't technically be free DLC, just more than one thing bundled together. Just a thought.

I'd really rather it wasn't. If they wanna start work on some oddball characters after the main four, that'd be cool with me. But until then, I'd rather they more fully explore the MK Universe than draw from other ones.
 
GUYS!!! isnt it obvious? all the demand for the "Director" from the challenge tower to become a playable character has finaly got ed boon off his ass to make him his own character.

i wonder what his fatalitys will be?

I think it's kinda weird that we have to download a compatibility pack to make skarlett work online for people that didn't buy it. I think this should just be patched in, otherwise I can see a problem online with people who don't know to download the pack.

Maybe I'm reading it wrong, or it's worded funny, and will be a mandatory thing.
 
most likely it will be an update threw the new hot patch capability or it might tell u in ur information under the time and date in ur ps3 XmB hud.

but rain looks like a ninja and a return of mortal monday and fatality friday looks good

I hope they do something like that, otherwise yeah, it might be confusing for some people. Someone tries to pick Skarlet and the other person getting desynchronized would suck ass lol.

i'm thinking it will be like ssf4 update kit. not mandatory, but you can't play against anybody with skarlet until you download it.
 
yah but most likely it will show up in the (Ps3 hud) i'll look around and try to find more info and get back to u guys soon.

I am only willing to pay good money for certain characters (Sareena et. al.). Given that most characters I like are not among the most beloved ones (to put it mildly) and thus might never appear as DLC, I don't expect to be spending much money on DLC. Rain and Kenshi, for example, I would only get if they are free and come with some additional goods.
 
the dlc is'nt going to be 10 bucks. 5 at the most 2.99 at the least that dont seem like much even tho im not gonna be buying an ermac rip off i'm going to buy rain and maybe the 4th one.


oh what happened to the free dlc did wb not want it or was it microsoft or sony that didn't want it.

Also, I believe the ??? is definitely a placeholder. And that it will be Fujin. Wasn't there a sound clip of his name being announced in the DLC leaks? His character is definitely in the works.

You had to do the same thing with deadliest warrior.if you didnt want to buy the 3 dlc characters,you could dload a free "pack" to be able to play against them online.nothing new

hahah hell yes! :D dude, the best part is, if they stick to 21, Rain comes out August 21st which is my birthday :P how awesome is THAT? :P loving his looks by the teaser, Kenshi is interesting but I hope they base his moves on the sword rather than telekinesis cause we'll all think 'oh hey, the team had an error macro while making Kenshi' and as for the third one.. not sure, judging by Ed's first DLC tweet back then I'd say cyborg Smoke.. I expected it to be: new character ,kenshi, cSmoke, Rain or Tanya and then Shinnok. apparently Rain's launched in august. the third character in that position looks too plain.. maybe it's his initial male model and not the final shape of him. I hope for either cSmoke, Reiko or a new character as cool as Skarlet. her story looked amazing really. idt it's Fujin because the hair would betray him (unless again, this is just a generic male model). also very hyped for the klassic costumes, I guess with Rain they could release his klassic one and also klassic Noob Saibot and Smoke
