WB releases press info with update on pre-order info

Let me tell you what's worse than spending a few bucks on a skin (which is well worth it).

It's the two different collections. One has the figurine and the other has a joy stick. Now THAT is evil. Especially for someone like me. I could cry. I have shelves of geeky video game and movie statues. To add MK into my collection would be a dream. But to show off the arcade thing would be just as cool

Yeah I agree with you on this. It is strange how the 2 seperate editions, seemingly the Tournament is the most expensive...yet it lacks the stuff that comes with the Kollector's edition. The names make sense...one has collectables, and the other has a tournament type item in the arcade stick. However, most games have 3 tiers, and the most expensive includes EVERYTHING. The only way this all would make any sense is if maybe the prices of the Kollector's and the Tournament editions are the same. The "figurine" of Scorpion in that box looks more like an actual well made statue, and if there's a Sub one in there as advertised, I could see that edition being just as expensive as the one that comes with the stick. Regardless, I don't see this being your typical $60, $80, and $120-$150 tiered system. I guess we'll have to wait and til we see more details and pricing before understanding why it is like this. Though I am thinking my initial feeling that the two special editions will both be around the same price, and will most likely be priced somewhere around $90-$120.

Thats what i thought in the beginning as well, is that the editions are tiered in 3 stages, but i have come to the conclusion that they are completely different, except for the character skin and fatality, as well as the xbox exclusive king of the hill avatar mode. I made a poll asking which edition you prefer, regardless of price, so if you guys wanna head over there and voice your opinions, you can. I am pissed off about it as much as you guys are though, cuz that really is a slap in the face, the die hard fan would want everything... oh well i can do without the stick.

My local Best Buy tends to have craptons of the Ultimate Editions of games way past their release dates and eventually marks them down. I'll pick up the Tournament Edition then.

I find all this preorder stuff a bit annoying and confusing. If the game content is available later via DLC that's OK though.

alright i looked at all three sites and the release dates are all different. gamestop has march first which is prob unrealistic but bestbuy has it as april 19 while amazon is april 26. Anyone know whats going on with that?

April 19th is correct, gamestop canada has april 19th as well. Amazon has april 26th because they havent updated their systems yet i dont think.

How much was the SF4TE when it was out? I'd rather buy the editions for the extra exclusive stuff (Fighting Stick & Figures). Is there a reason Sub-Zero isn't in the figure pictures?

I paid 150.00$ for my SF4TE, I would just use that except I cannot find a comfy place for the block button so this stick is perfect. Sub-Zero (in my mind) is not pictured simply becuase Scorpions is either A: MK's RYU (ok, he is but) or B: Ed demanded only Scorpion!!! (prolly not the case but ya never know Ed might have some Diva in him)

Seeing the blood on Scorpion's spear, I have a feeling Sub-Zero might be on the other side. I'm afraid by the time I save up, the TE edition will have been pre-purchased out.

Cant you just go put say 10 bucks down and pay it off slowly? We have four months, If I decide to get one of each (really tempted, wife might kill me for getting two special editions) thats how ill do it just to keep the wife from going ape shit.

I'm Australian. I don't have the option of laying $10 down. I'll just have to see what NRS has in store foreign countries.

DLC isn't entirely NRS choice... It's WB marketing.

Seriously... What is up with you people? You take something that can be totally awesome and trample on it in the most depressing manner.. Didn't anybody ever tell you that negative people are not at all desirable to be around? Live positively and see the light side of things. Otherwise, your living like you're dying all the time. Not healthy!

I will be ordering an Amazon Reptile edition for PS3, myself. I will get whichever edition has the arcade stick! I'm so excited!!

Also, Amazon has labeled that the retro costume and fatality will be a code to get DLC for free.. In this, they are stating that DLC will be available for PSN and 360 from launch date. I'm certain we will all be able to purchase all of the retro ninja attire and fatalities on launch date! And, I can't imagine them costing more than a couple bucks a piece. I will be getting all of them! The retro reptile is just SOOOO perfect! Reminds me of accidentally stumbling upon Reptile when I was a kid.

I haven't been anticipating a game like this for a long while! Praise MK Team! And, amazing job to all us forum members who have stayed positive and put our faith in the masters(NRS), without whom MK would be dead by now.

Keep polishing up that game and let's make the release date a moment to behold for all of us :) I can't wait to start seeing pictures of people tearing the wrapping off their games!

I agree.
I think that NRS will make ALL ninja Classic Costumes and Fatalities available, a few months after the launch date.

It seems that depending on which retailer you but from, that'll be the FREE Classic Costume / Fatality.

I also don't see the Sub Zero, Scorpion or Reptile Classic Costume / Fatality DLC codes being more than a couple bucks each, after the release date.

Literally just read this news, so awesome :)
Just keep getting more and more excited about this MK.
Klassic Reptile looks incredible, can't wait for him and the other retro costume/fatality extras.

It'll be PS3 Kollector's edition for me, that's if we get those editions in Australia. I'm happy to make an international order, but apparently online play is locked to the region you bought it from. I'm not 100% on this though, can anyone confirm it for me?

No doubt those retro extras will be available for purchase through DLC, so not overly concerned. It'd be great to have the figurine and art book though. Fingers crossed.

I have mine Pre-Ordered a GameStop, so I'll be getting Scorpion's Alt. costume and "Toasty" Fatality.

I just hope that Sub Zero and Reptile's Klassic costumes and Fatalities will be available later, via DLC.

Question.
Will the Alt. be on the disc or do you have to download it?
If download, is it free?

I think the game comes with a card that has a code on it which you just type in like most games when you pre-order them and recieve extra content. I think its considered being on the disc and your just unlocking it but i could be wrong with that. But yeah its free if you pre-order the game. The main page pretty much tells you all of the details besides the price of the packages

edit: the alternate costume with the package says dlc so i guess its not on the disc

They should give us the 2nd one

it was way better than the 1st
In a place like this, I don't think anyone will agree with you. Everyone here that I know of hates the second movie. I didn't care for it. The first movie was more true to MK.
