Today for Mortal Monday everyone's favorite Shaolin Monk Liu Kang has been added to the Mortal Kombat Tab over on the Official Mortal Kombat Facebook page. It makes mention of his Dragon Fatality, so hopefully this fatality will be making it into Mortal Kombat (2011).



Included with this is a new wallpaper featuring Liu Kang punching through the chest of his opponent.

I posted this in the Mortal Monday thread but I know a lot of people don't have facebook. Whats up with the all black? Do you think that it is just a miss colored render?

I hope all of the "He doesn't look Asian enough" people are satisfied now. It's probably just a bad render on the MK website. I love the mention of his Dragon Fatality.

If, in fact, this wallpaper is entirely representative of Liu Kangs upcoming MK 2011 fatality, this will be the first puncture wound shown in a mortal kombat game. Now let's hope that Sub-Zero's liver crush x-ray and Reptiles Stomach yank are given the same privilege. lol

It may also be worth noting that the MK Widget from Gamestop now has Liu Kang.

Yeah gotta ya I was just saying thanks because I know a lot of people on here don't have facebook and all I could provide was the wallpaper itself. They couldn't see the all black render. Do you think it is an alt color for his costume or just a mess up?

Can't wait to see the new dragon chomp!

No problem, just making sure people understand how it works. I've had people say "this is a dupe thread, should be closed" so I mistook it as that. The render itself is interesting, either an older design or an alternate. We'll have to see.

OK there is 70 days until the game is released. So 10 Mortal Mondays and 10 Fatality Fridays away. There is 1 empty slot on Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Mileena, 4 on Liu Kang and all 6 on Raidan and Shao Kahn. So that give us 19 empty widget/facebook slots. I think we pretty much know what each Monday and Friday has in store for us now. I wonder what the last widget/facebook slots are and what the final Mortal Monday will be though.
