After last week's review of the Mortal Kombat movie I figured it was time to continue the trend. This time we have what appears to be a rarely seen music video of the song Juke Joint Jezebel by KMFDM from the highly successful Mortal Kombat Movie soundtrack. This video appears to be an official video of the song, due to it's unique live footage of the band, but never got much airplay and thusly hasn't been seen much.

Thanks goes out to ]{0mbat from MortalKombatOnline for this great find. We're always looking for great clips to showcase, so don't forget to suggest us a future video to be featured. Come back next Mortal Movie Monday for another Kompelling video.

I f*cking love this song. One of the better songs on the Soundtrack. Unlike Fear Factory's audio-excrement.

KMFDM, better than the rest

Adema's Music Video called "Immortal" featuring Scorpion would be kool to add. Not to mention Mark the Lead singer of Adema is Jonathan Davis's Brother from KoRn.

Ah, I hated "Immortal." KMFDM, on the other hand, is fantastic.

I don't listen to music so I'm not really savvy to these titles. I know Immortal because it was included on a game disc, and I only watched it on a whim. It wasn't that great. What's KMFDM?

Industrial, with hints of electronica and rock. KMFDM is initialism for the German phrase "Kein Mehrheit Für Die Mitleid", which translates as "no majority for the pity," but loosely translates to "no pity for the majority" or "no mercy for the masses".

A succinct and accurate summary that tells me absolutely nothing about what it actually is. You sir, should be a politician.

KMFDM is a band. Is that more what you were looking for? They've showed up on both MK movie soundtracks.

Ah yes. That is what I wanted. Were their songs recognizable from the movie?

Well, the one from this video was playing during the Sonya/Kano fight, I believe, and their song "Megalomaniac" was the first thing played over the closing credits of MKA. That's all I can think of.

If you couldn't deduce from my summary AND a music video that KMFDM were an industrial band, I couldn't even begin to suggest what you should do, but you've definitely gotta do something.

Well, let's check what was said above me:

None of those explicitly state it is a band you are referring to. What I initially concluded was that it was a style of music, comprised of industrial, electronica, and rock. Regardless, these comments and descriptions could have been taken in more ways than you intended Kurtis. Upon closer inspection however, I notice the band is mentioned as that type of entity in the description of the video. But given my apathy for music in general I didn't read the description and simply clicked "Play" in the box.
