OK, here they are:
I said the MAJORITY of people, were in FAVOR of guest characters.
False.
The falacy in your argument is that a large # of people =/= to or automatically mean MAJORITY.
I.E. --
If we are polling 100 people and 20 buy Freddy, 10 buy Rain, 5 buy Skarlet and 2 buy Kenshi. That's 20 out of 37 people not 100, which doesn't = majority.
You love to twist sales figures in your favor, but highest selling DLC doesn't automatically = most people bought it, just that it sold higher than the other DLC, which also includes plenty of people who didn't buy DLC.
So few people share your opinion of guest characters.
No so.
There are tons of people outside of TRMK and gaming websites who hate the idea of Freddy and Kratos in MK9.
30 people in a room want a piece of a cake on a table. 5 people want the cake locked in a puzzle box before anybody can eat it.
Implying that the majority of people bought MK for guest characters.
Not so.
Compare the amount of people who didn't buy MK9 because of guest characters to the people who did.
Heavily implying that the people who didn't buy MK9 on Xbox didn't buy it because of lack of a guest character.
Not true.
Other factors go into this as well, such as people preferring the DualShock on PS3 for fighters.
Way more people bought MK because it was MK, and not because of guest characters.
As I stated before, guest characters were likely the cherry on an already perfect cake, but not
the reason for people buying MK9.
The amount of people who didn't give a shit and just wanted the characters vastly outnumber the people who were crying about it here.
Again, not true.
Lots of people that I know offline, IRL, were also pissed about Freddy being the 4th DLC character, rather than an MK character.
Again, Just because Freddy sold well doesn't mean a MAJORITY of people got him, as you are implying.
It just means that lots of people got him.
NRS never actually said HOW MANY people got him, just that it was a lot.
That doesn't mean majority.
Learn the difference.
Hell yeah! Kill 90% of the sales!
Then the pure fans can enjoy past games since the franchise will die soon after! Major success!
The dumbest thing I've heard.
Pure fans =/= <10% of fans.
Pure fans / fanatics are likely closer to the 45% margin, while regular fans are about another 20%, and the other about 35% are casual fans.
