I would love for Galaga to return in MK10, that game is the shit
I could play that game any day

Guest characters should just strictly be DLC.
There's NO reason that a guest character should be on the main roster for MK10.
Now that MK9 made WB a shit-load of money, WB \ NRS should focus on the MK1 thru MK: Deception characters for MK10.
If you want the guest character (like Freddy), then just buy it.
If you don't want the guest character, then don't buy it.
In the end, though, the player should be able to have that choice.
It shouldn't be shoved down the consumers throat, whether they want it or not.
I'm down for DLC guest characters but don't omit MK characters that fans have been asking for just to fit an unrelated character make a different game for them.create a whole new franchise but don't whore them on MK
What? they didn't omit anyone for Kratos. If they did for Freddy Idk. And if Kratos wasn't in Mk it wouldn't have been as big a hit for the ps3, like it or not he was needed to help get the job done. plus the controversy his inclusion brought on put Mk even further out there.
Kratos~ I did what had to be done. lol
I'm talking about the DLC namely Freddy I'm not big on Kratos but he was announced prior to the games release to boost sales on the ps3 version ( Sony marketing an exclusive character ) but no one asked for Freddy. At the end of the day it was a wasted DLC opportunity. Fans asking for robo Smoke, Tonya , and Chameleon were blatantly ingnored to make room for Freddy a character that doesn't have any marketing push or any other reason for being there.

I agree with you, but it would have made it easier for the DLC scheme just to have Kratos on the PS3. Kratos been a PS exclusive in all titles. The developers have always been a money making machine, as i have said before and will say again they are the video games industries equivalent of KISS.Even though NRS would never publicly admit it, I can just about guaran-goddamn-tee that someone said "Hey, let's make RAIN a DLC character."
They very well know that Rain was part of the UMK3 era (and yes, I'm including the console version).
Rain was an easy $5 from a large portion of the fan-base, and they exploited it.
I'm not outright accusing NRS of swapping Rain for Kratos, but a HUGE portion of the fans probably would have been just fine with him on the main roster.
You can't tell me that it doesn't even seem a little fishy.
Reiko and Fujin are two I wanna really see in this new MK style.
I want Shujinko to make his triumphant return in MK10 as one of the Earthrealm heroes to challenge Shinnok. He is earthrealm's best bet against the fallen elder god.
Same here.
I was REALLY hoping that Fujin, Reiko and Tanya would be DLC characters in 2010, when I thought that Rain was on the main roster.
Can't wait to see what NRS does with them for MK10.
As long as he doesn't have Ermac's opponent slam, Scorpion's spear, Sub-Zero's freeze, Liu Kang's bicycle kicks or Raiden's Flying Thunder God move, I'm fine with Shujinko being in.
He needs ORIGINAL moves.
None of this borrowing from other people bullshit.
Yea, but he can have a variation of them. That way it will be somewhat original and will also pay tribute to the characters he learned the specials from and a throwback to his original design. For example he can have a parry move where his upper arm gets frozen and freezes the opponent on contact. He then connects with a fiery backflip kick, with the ex version followed by a teleport punch. Here it pays tribute to Scorpion and Sub Zero. Another move could be is where he catches his opponent in a telekinetic grab, lifts them up mid air and dashes up towards them diagonally, shoulder ramming his opponent with electricity sending him higher into the air with him eventually falling down. The ex could be followed by Shujinko doing the superman move from above, slamming his opponent to the ground (like how Raiden does on Motaro in the cutscene, in MK9). This pays tribute to Ermac and Raiden.
Plus I don't mind seeing some original moves as well. But I like the former idea better because thats a huge part of who Shujinko is. He is a character who can copy and learn other people's power and fighting techniques. They could expand on that by making him use those abilities in his own innovative way like the examples I stated above.
He need not be completely revamped and presented to us as a brand new character.
