Your MK confessions

Freddy is awesome. I wasn't a fan of using the "new" look instead of the Robert Englund look, but I guess WB has a new Nightmare movie to pimp so whatevs. I love how his first fatality is an homage to Johnny Depp getting sucked into his bed and turned into a blood volcano in the original movie. His ending was the icing on the cake as well, great callback to the movie.

Something I was thinking about: gory violence, ridiculous amounts of blood, and (in later movies) purposely cheesy yet funny self-referential one liners. It's like he's Hipster Freddy who was MK before MK even existed. That needs to be turned into an image meme of some sort.

On the same track as DLC, for a character everyone seemed to be begging for, Rain turned out kinda lame. Sorry Rainamaniacs, his "I'll cut your limbs off with water" fatality was dangerously close to "Quan Chi neck stretcher" weaksauce category for me. He does look cool though, I'll say that much.

I think MK Legacy was (mostly) awesome and all, but a blu-ray release seems a waste of a disc. I realize that format is the new hotness, but even if you load up on extras we're still talking about a bunch of YouTube clips. Plus Boon was getting all uppity at people asking on Twitter if there's plans for a standard DVD release as if they were asking for it on 8 track ffs.

I hope NRS doesn't go the Capcom rout and release an "Ultimate MK9" type of game and instead lets the anticipation build for MK10. However I feel the nature of the gaming industry will make them want to strike while the iron is hot and get the most out of the MK name while it's enjoying a resurgence of popularity.
 
Confession #1: I played Mortal Kombat Trilogy when I was really young, I'm talking like 6 years old. I didn't really know how to play so I just mashed buttons.
Confession #2: I just recently started liking Kano, mostly because of how awesome he is in MK9.
Confession #3: I stopped loving Scorpion due to how many people play as him, he used to be my favorite.
Confession #4: You don't want to see me after I lose a close match online.

I REALLY like Kira now because I just picked up MK: Deception. AND I want her in the next Mortal Kombat but with a nice redesign of moves. I'd love for her to retain her MK:D outfit
 
When I was like three or four years old I went to see the Mortal Kombat movie in theaters with my family. Although young I liked MK for as long as I could remember. Sub-Zero was always my favorite. After the Sub-Zero VS. Lui Kang fight, I asked my older brother what happened? Wasn't so sure considering how fast the fight turned. He told me, "Oh it was a double Ice backfire, like the game. Sub-Zero is just frozen." I accepted this and continued to watch the movie, then my sister leaned in and said "No, Andy is lying to you, Sub-Zero is dead, Now he won't be in any more movies, games, ect.." Again keep in mind how small I was, this was the most devestating thing ever...First and only time a movie has managed to make me shed a tear.
 
I really liked Mavado, the character.
Just didn't like his move set. Re-model that and then, imo, there's a great character to the franchise series. Can't see that he'll be included again unfortunately.
