Hey guys :) Im trying to see if people on various forums want them as DLC. They would add something new to the roster which we need. They are arguably 2 of the most popular characters that people want. Other people might be like "But Power Girl/Super Girl/ Batgirl/etc. is better" but why would you want them instead of 2 characters that would bring somethign totally new to the table?

Zatanna - Some people dont like the idea of hearing various backwards spells all the time but what if she only did it with some moves or maybe every like 3rd time she did a move? Like Shazam doesnt say Shazam everytime he does a lightning move, only for one move or every once in a while. She could have an awesome costume, voice actor (Hopefully Jennifer Hale who voiced her in JLU) and move set.

Black Canary - To be honest im not sure what people dont like about this character. I think they dont like her because they think shes boring but she could have some awesome martial art moves along with of course the sonic scream that could be used in many ways. It could be Anti Air, Projectile, Blow Back, Damaging, Stun, etc. she again could have some awesome moves along with costume (I hope she has her jacket, one piece, fish nets, ankle boots, long blonde hair, etc.) voice actor (Hopefully Morena Baccarin who voiced her in JLU or Vanessa Marshall who voiced her in Young Justice).

What do you guys think? Personally i think its a great idea
 
Who would say no? This poll needed if or choices. Black Canary yes! But if I need to choose between Circe and Black Canary then no.

Also Venom and Megaman got like 5 billion yeses for MvC3 but they are nowhere to be seen.
 
Zatanna I'm on the fence about. Depending on how she plays she could be awesome or a little lame. But I'm pretty sure Black Canary would be just fantastic
 
BOOSTER GOLD :D oh wait.. this is a specific DLC chars question. I'd love to see both, there's lack of females and those are good choices. Zatanna has a lot of space to evolve using magic and Canary is pretty cool too
 
Definitely hell yeah. Black Canary and Zatanna would make an awesome addition as DLC since there's only like 6 females making it to the initial roster. Although just to balance out the hero/villain ratio, replace Zatanna with Circe.

As for the voice actress as Black Canary, the former, because the voice for Green Arrow (primary outfit) is Kin Shriner, who has previously voiced him in Justice League Unlimited. Them two make a perfect combo and plus for nostalgic moments.
 
No. I want new feeling characters like the female furies or starfire. We have Raven and canary would just be Sindel with blonde hair and a biker jacket.

I'm sure the devs would make Black Canary very different from Sindel, just like they made Sinestro totally different from Green Lantern and Black Adam totally different from Shazam. I for one am not worried that she will be a copy and paste of Sindel.
 
I have been wanting Zatanna for such a long time.
If they do her right, she could be an incredibly fun and awesome character.
 
Personally If I'm picking out of these two I'd go with Zatanna. Black Canary could have awesome martial arts moves?@!?.. are you ing kidding me, this is a fighting game, everybody is going to have awesome fighting moves.. how bloody lame she would make as a character.. just cause she's popular in comics doesn't mean she'll make a good addition to a fighting game. At least with Zatanna as an illusionist you could get pretty creative with her specials, And she wouldn't remind you of any MK character's the way Canary would..*cough sindel cough*....

That's why I'm surprised she wasn't on the main roster considering there's a lot of counterparts to the Mortal Kombat roster present. I really hope she makes it as one of the four DLCs.

In a nutshell, she's a magician who cast her spells by speaking backwards. Her powers kinda vary other than that - Paul Dini (writer) really needed to refine what all she could and can do, maybe they've done this in the 52's but I'm not sure. NetherRealm could easily give her really awesome spells kind of like Quan Chi's in MK9 and teleporting tricks like Joker had in MK vs. DC.

Fun Fact: Her father taught Bruce Wayne the art of escaping.
