Will the UMK3 hidden fighters be unlocked from the start?

In this Arcade collection , would the 3 hidden fighters in the middle of the UMK3 select screen (classic Subzero, Ermac, Mileena) be available from the start? Will the Ultimate Kombat Kodes be in the game then?

I ask this because of all of the desync problems in online MK9 with 1 player having a certain costume or character and the other player not. If one person playing online has them unlocked and picks it, and the other person doesn't, will the character show up on the character screen for both of them? Or will they all be unlocked from the start?
 
its different with this because the characters will be coded into the game, and dont have to be downloaded
Therefore, it would not matter if someone has them unlocked.
 
My guess would be that you still have to unlock the 3 characters, In the Nintnedo DS version of UMK3 you still had to unlock Classic Sub, Mileena, and Ermac.

I'm sure if you don't have a character unlocked you will still be able to fight someone who does have them without any difficulties
 
I'm assuming that they're gonna have to be unlocked, just like in the arcade, but they didn't need to be unlocked over and over in the arcade. I think they staying unlocked unless the machine was unplugged, but I'm not too sure. On the original XBL version of UMK3, keeping them after they were unlocked was a pain in the ass because it didn't save the code correctly or some shit. Hopefully they fix this problem this time around. If they don't it's gonna seriously piss me off because it's such a simple problem.

Also in the XBL version, if the host had them unlocked, they would be unlocked, otherwise they weren't.

I wouldn't really expect them to be unlocked from the start, but as long as they don't screw up the controller mapping this time and the characters get saved properly, I can handle it. It's kind of a pain to sit there with two controllers on my lap and put these things in again, but at least it'll be the last time I have to do it for this generation of consoles.
 
I'm 99% sure they will have to be unlocked everytime.

Ed Boon and the MK team went for these stupid "Arcade Perfect" port of the games. Well not stupid, just not as fulfilling. Being it an arcade perfect port they're leaving out rain, noob, any playable bosses, brutalities, and probably the characters staying unlocked. They made "Ultimate Mortal Kombat" for the DS which was specificly not a port of the arcade version but a remake. UMK3 for xbl was another arcade port which made u put in the codes everytime. Some people unfortunately like to relive the days of putting in codes which is why they're making the arcade perfect version.

I don't believe it's 100% confirmed, but it's basicly how they're describing it to be.
 
Watching the GameStop event last night, and they were locked in the demo they had running. I think they want you to achieve the task of unlocking them, but that becomes problematic if they use the same UKK method which requires a friend. I hope they change it personally or make them unlocked by default.

Exactly, i wouldn't mind if they brough back a cheat menu. One button fatalities n stuff or simply just a button input. Not play a match or whatever, die, n then type a combo by yourself on 2 controllers. Not hard, just annoying to turn another one on n then off n such. Some people dont even own 2 controllers.

The secret character bug (not remaining unlocked unless you go to "Arcade" first), Scorpions Lair level constantly looping, and no 2v2 are all things I hope they incorporate into the new Kollection UMK3 but I doubt it. I'm getting the impression that they don't really give a crap about the umk3 online competitive bunch. I wish we could get an UMK3 similar to SF2HDremix with a practice mode and tournaments but I can't picture that happening for a $10 purchase Lol.

Are you telling me that in the XBL UMK3, there was no 2vs2? Im pretty sure I remember them having it! They had it in the arcades, why wouldn't they have it in the XBL version or even this version coming out soon! Oh man I cant wait for MK1 ONLINE! Whoooooooooot! I love the announcer from that one! And I really REALLY wish the announcer would say something like "Excellent" or Outstanding" every time you at least do an uppercutt or 5 hit combo or more or something...
 
The past Live version of UMK3 was a PITA with the unlockable characters.

Does this look like the same version that has already been released on Live?

I am happy about it, too.
I love unlocking characters, I always do it if I can.
Shiiiit, Unlocking Akuma, Gouken, and Seth in Street Fighter 4 took me FOREVER but when I got them I was so happy lol.
 
It isn't like a big achivement to unlock them. In mk9 you get CSZ and Quan Chi for going through story mode. In this you have to enter codes on two different controllers after losing a match. Not exactly rewarding when you have to do it over and over again when they get screwed up.
