Who is your ONE main character ?

Sub Zero, cuz he's has been my favorite character since MK1. I like how in this game I can be reactive to people and play more defensively but when I want to put on the pressure I can.

Been playing Reptile a lot, but stopped now that I've "mastered" him. I like him and probably won a lot of games with him that I wouldn't have with Sub just cuz all but one special does damage on block and stuff and elbow dash allows me to get in and pressure people easier. I never fully learned him though. Like I never took the time to learn corner combos, I would just spam low pokes and do the acid hand. I only picked him up cuz he was easy to learn and it would be fun playing as him while working on that trophy.

I think my second main is gonna be Johnny Cage. I like how he plays and how, with the limited knowledge I have of him, I can still win or get pretty damn close, I just know some basic pressure stuff. I think Kenshi is gonna be my third.

MK3-UMK3 would prolly say Kabal and Sub Zero. Something with Kabal clicked and Sub cuz he's my favorite and I knew his combo, which translated well for Mythologies and I think it's the same damn combo in 4

None in mk4 cuz I didn't play it much

MKDA and MKD would be Scorpion and Kenshi. I didn't like how Sub played in that one. I actually liked his outfit even though it was the same idea as mk3s, which I hated.

I don't like Mileena, lol. I don't like her cuz back when I was a kid, Mileena would just kick my ass no matter what. I think it's some kinda mental thing now, but I still have trouble against her.

I did play a Mileena once when I was reptile and she completely kept me from using the elbow dash effectively and keep me out and totally took over the match. I was able to win 1 game and a few rounds against this player, but man it was tough, but fun, fight.

hmmm I bounce between reptile and quan chi... reptile because he's my all time favorite and quan chi because I find him fun to play as... I also use ermac every now and then just to mix things up !
 
Johnny Cage is my number 1. Before buying this game, I didn't look forward to using him at all. I was quickly sold. Great rushdown, fun combos, best Xray, you name it...

Stryker, liked him since MK3; liked playing with him in Armaggeddon; told myself I'd main him in MK9, working well so far :)
 
Sektor

I just like Sektor and he my favorite cyborg. Since im a person who likes rockets and flamethrowers Sektor was the choice for me plus his Teleport uppercut is just awesome. In this game Sektor is my number 1 main.

i also use other characters and Sheeva.
 
CSZ, because although I hate the idea of having one of the most iconic characters in the game, my favorite character getting turned into a tin can I use CSZ because I like his more offensive playstyle and also cool specials like ice bomb, divekicks and teleport.

He also looks cooler than original (SZ's main looks horrible, alternate even worse) and also the epic cyber sword is epic
 
Sheeva, no contest. My next best is Quan Chi, and I don't even know all of his built in combos (which I know aren't the be all end all of playing a character, but if you really want to know the character inside and out, they're good to know). Sometimes when I switch off of her, I get lucky and stay on the hill a while. But if I'm really serious, I use Sheeva.
 
My main is Liu Kang. He's been my favorite since MK2 so I stuck with him for this game and I love his play style.
I also use Baraka quite a bit.
 
Noob saibot. Rewards good predictions/reads arguably better then any char in the game! Best overall zoning ingame with blazingly fast shadow charge that has a large hit box and causes a frametrap if it hits at full screen and its ex variant stuffs things like jades glow. Has a low mixup projectile with slide. One of the best anti airs inga.e with a great hitbox and recovery. All his midscreen bnb's favor his zoning game in terms of positioning. Can make any string safe with upknee. Brutal cornergame. With the blackhole buffs can now mindgame/mixup/pressure from fullscreen with up to 100% damage resets that can also be used as a punish! And ya....I could use balanced reasoning and list his cons...but that's no fun. Noob ftw
 
After about 3 months of playing MK 9, I have finally realized that my MAIN should be NightWolf.
I haven't played with him online yet, but I'm pretty good with him offline.

I used to think that I would MAIN either Noob Saibot (since he's my favorite character since MK 3), Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Kabal or Kano, but it seems like NightWolf matches my play-style the closest.

Out of all the characters, I never would have though it would be NightWolf.
I've adapted to him quicker than any of the 28 characters, in these last 3 months, within the last 2 days.
Once I've perfected him, I'll make the difficulty settings harder on Arcade, then jump Online. ;-)




EDIT:

Even though NightWolf will be my main, Noob Saibot is STILL my favorite character.

Well, when I first began playing, I was more of a Scorpion kinda guy, since he is relatively easy and fun to play as. But as I started learning my strengths and weaknesses, I started leaning towards either Reptile or Mileena, even though I love pretty much all of the characters (other than Sektor!)

Ironically, I used to dislike Reptile and Mileena, since playing as them was a ***** for me scince their moves or very kombo oriented, but now that im used to the basic MK gameplay, they are easily my favorite characters to play as. Reptile is so sleazy and intimidating while Mileena is eerily playful and bloodthirsty; I love it! Not to mention they have fantastic fatalities and extra costumes.
 
Ermac is my best supported character, id like to get better at another, but Ermac is where my fun lies.
