Who is you favorite MK Ninja

Who is your favorite MK Ninja or Ninjas?

Started off as Scorpion in MK in the arcade but after getting MK on the SNES it became Sub-Zero. I loved his Freeze and Smash 'Finishing Move' and he flowed better gameplay wise. Been Sub-Zero ever since with Scorpion a close 2nd.
 
It always perplexed me as to why Reiko is not considered a ninja, though Noob Saibot and Reiko are very similar anyways so the black ninja's my favorite.

Say what you will, but his original design was of a traditional ninja, and he was the originator of the shurikens, making him even closer to a real ninja than any ninja character, at least back in those days.

He was a Shao Kahn cosplayer even in MK4, as his ending in that game makes perfectly clear. He's not a ninja, nor was he ever a ninja.

Wasn't Reiko originally unmasked Sub-Zero (MK4) doctored-up in to a new character?

Sub-Zero is my favorite ninja of all the MK ninjas. Sektor would be my second favorite.
 
Reiko actually replaced Noob Saibot in MK4. That explains why both characters have similarities in movesets (Reiko has Noob's Teleport Slam) and Fatalities (Noob has Reiko's Shuriken Fatality in MKD), as well as the fact that Reiko's backstory was originally going to link him with the Brotherhood of Shadow. Once that Shao Kahn thing happened in his ending in the home ports, all that Brotherhood of Shadow mumbo jumbo went out the window and it was rewritten to link him with Shao Kahn.

Noob Saibot. This is my opinion but he gives off more of a "Ninja" vibe than anyone else on the Mortal Kombat roster. When I say Ninja, I'm mostly referring to the modernized, pop culture portrayal of traditional Ninjas. He wears all black. He produces a duplicate of himself. He hides in the shadows, and has a stealth approach. Smoke is a close second.

I like his lighthearted attitude. ^^
He's a gentle soul who doesn't look at things all too seriously, very much unlike Scorpion who just seems to have an entire tree shoved up his butt. Yet when necessary, he can be serious and kick some skulls in, and he looks freaking cool while doing so. I love his gameplay, his weapons and moves, and his main outfit is really awesome. And even though he is kinda goofy, he still has a deep background story, he knows pain and suffering, but he doesn't carry it with him and lets it control his entire life... again, very much unlike Scorpion.

So out of the two ninjas in MK, Takeda is definately my favourite. ^^
Scorpion is still on the bottom of my list of favourite characters, so it was a pleasant surprise to see an apprentice of his became one of my top faves.

Awesome answer. I appreciate it because I never looked at it that way. I'm really seeing a Batman and Robin dynamic between Scorpion and Takeda which is an awesome new stage for Scorpion. Not to mention Takeda is basically set up for success.

Ok, I took the bait, "two ninjas of MK"? :lol: It depends how you look at the other color coded masked fighters.

Cyrax, Smoke, and Sektor are "cyber ninjas" which has even been said in their biographies. No doubt there.

Well.. to be completely honest....

From MK1 it was a tie between Scorpion and Sub-Zero. MK2 it was all Subby for me.... It was such a pain in the ass to connect the Spear on the NPC... Unless it was combo'd in somwhow... ugh... And then MK3 was Sub Zero again because Scorpion wasnt in MK3... UMK3 was Scorpion all the way!!! Then Scorpion all the way until MK9... When MK9 came out... i dunno... he just played different... and even more so in MKX.... So i dunno... i will have to say probably SubZero going on from MK9, But before MK9, I would have to say majority of the time it was Scorpion for me :D

Yeah, I know, I'm just being stubborn with who are actual ninjas and who are just called it because palette swaps. :P
My fave of them all is still Jade, but of the actual ninjas, it's Takeda.

And yeah, Takeda definately did something good for Scorpion as well. Made him think about something else than VENGEANCE!!! for once, and the MKX comics actually made me like Scorpion a bit... and though he was back to the whole revenge thing in the game, it wasn't as pushed through as it has in the past. He also found resolve with Sub-Zero which is one of my favourite scenes in the game, and he finally got revenge as well, so hopefully he can FINALLY move on to something more interesting.
