Which video game have you played the MOST?

Saw that this was posted by Gamestop on the Bookface so I figured it was actually a good question.

Best game ever =/= Most played game

So don't just jump to "OMG I LUV DIS SO I MUST HAVE PLAYED IT THE MOST."

Actually think. What game have you put the most time into?

Whether it be gathering collectibles and leveling up or the game is just so damn good that you had to keep playing over and over.

What game have I played the most? I'm definitely going to go with Resident Evil 4. I own it on 3 different platforms and I have the Gamestop Edition for Nintendo Gamecube. I also want to buy the Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition just to own all versions (except PC. Don't care about that). Yes, because I have no life.

I must have beaten the Gamecube version at least 5 times.

I beat the PS2 version like 3 times.

And I beat the Xbox 360 HD version like 4 times+ once on professional to get the achievement and that laser gun thingy.

Not mentioning my multiple playthroughs of Seperate Ways and a few of ASSignment Ada. That mode was dumb.


Also, all that mercenaries gameplay, rockin' my homie HUNK and the overpowered Krauser.

It isn't my favorite game of all time, actually being #2 on my list, coming right after Resident Evil 2 and being above GTA: Vice City which is my third favorite game.
 
I think I've played Diablo 2 the most. Well technically the expansion, Lord of Destruction. I have played that game for 10 years, had breaks here and there but would always come back. And even though I've played that for years, I still haven't, legitly, found all the uniques in that game, never was lucky enough and was always too busy to take the time to farm for them. I did get lucky every once in awhile and could get some good stuff to trade for what I wanted or found a free game and got items, that way too.

I don't think its the best game ever, but it is definitely one of my favorites. I've also never really hammered out of thought about what would be in my top ten favorite games......hmm

I've found all uniques with offline mods.
 
I used to play Tekken 2 with my friends for quite some time (at least two years), even after the release of Tekken 3, which I never owned.

I believe it was Jet Set Radio Future for the original Xbox. I used to play it constantly. I still do occasionally take it out and start a new game and attempt to unlock everything.
 
Dead or Alive 4, had about 900 some hours before my hard drive corrupted then put on another 500 after that.

Probably Counter Strike since I have been playing 2000, through all the different updates.

I guess same could be said for Call of Duty players because they are all essentially the same, ZING!
 
My most played game by far is MGS1. I still have my original copy from when I was like 7 years old. I play it at least 5 times every 4 months. I LOVE MGS1 and I've beaten the game countless times. I shit you not, I beat it 3 times in one day. It was also on the PC version too, MGS1: Integral.

My second most played game is Dragon Age: Origins. I've done at LEAST 6 play through's on my PS3 version alone and each character has more than 60+ hours on it. Then that's just Origins, not counting the expansion , Origins-Awakening. Counting that, it shoots up to about 85-90 hours per character and that alone is just on my PS3 version. I've done at 3 characters on my PC version with each character clocking in at least 55 hours (with just Origins) and 70-80 hours with Awakening tacked on.

First one I ever personally owned was 4. And I played 4 every single day for almost 2 years. I still play it to this day some times. I had 1 copy on PS1 but my friend broke it. So I downloaded it illegally to my PSP and PC after years of not being able to find a physical copy. Then last year I bought a PS1 copy to play on my PS3.

But MK Deadly Alliance man. That was my first Gamecube game. Jesus Christ I can't tell you how religiously I played that game. I unlocked, EVERYTHING. Some Koffins I bought multiple times just because. Hours upon hours i poured into that game and one day my save gets corrupted. So I do it all over again.


Honorable mentions.
MK9 I played every single day since it released up until like 4 months ago. (I have over a week of total play time invested in Sektor alone)
MK3 I once played 300 2 player matches in a row, by myself because the AI scared me
I've beaten Deception's Konquest Mode 7 times. Most on Gamecube. Some on PSP
Even though I hated it, I spent an ungodly amount of time playing Armageddon.



Tekken 5 gets a shout out too. Gettting 3 characters to Tekken Lord isn't easy. Plus I played my brother in it all the time.

I'm not at all certain on this, but probably FF6. One thing I am certain of is I never played any game as much as lot of you guys are posting here.
 
It would probably be Guilty Gear XX Accent core +. I've played that came till my dick turned blue. 2nd would probably be the first Skate. That was like one of my first games back when I got my xbox in 2007.
 
out of my whole gaming history. i would have to say: GTA San Andreas on the PlayStation 2 days. 1300 hours.

the game was such a step ahead for all free roams back in the day. and the amount of things you could do was unbelieveable. tattoo's
customization on cars, Pam size was HUGE. i really am hoping GTA V will do this again.
 
I remember when KI came out on the snes, it possessed me for like a year 1/2 I spent the whole summer of 96 'and I'm not exaggerating' eat, sleep, KI that was my summer.
I haven't been able to geek out on any game like that since, and the older I got the less time I had so that's prolly why.

I thought about mk and doom. I've owned every mk and doom, but I don't think I've put in more hours in diablo. It's tough to really figure it though. Been playing mk since the 1st or 2nd grade and Doom since the 3rd or 4th.
 
Forgot about GTAIV.

I reached rank 10 in multiplayer, put days worth of playtime into Free Roam Online, and beat the story mode over 7 times.
 
Hard to say.... The most time I put into a series would be Final Fantasy, mostly VIII and X. I had a Pokemon Blue Version with like 400 hours played. I had every single Pokemon at lv100. Also I had multiples caught so I had each evolution at once. Like I had a lv100 Squirtle, lv100 Wartortle, and lv100 Blastoise. It was not easy at all. My game ended up getting corrupt though.....

Maybe Halo: Combat Evolved? I used to play that daily for probably 4 years. I've beaten that campaign probably 20 times. haha
 
Definitly Mortal Kombat since I like to play the arcade ladders on the hardest difficulty and I will not stop until I discover the computers weaknesses. Also Batman Arkham City. On some of the predator challenges, My fastest time would get me around the top 20 in the leaderboards.

FFX was pretty high up there for me too... it's definitely my most played in terms of how much time I've put into a single playthrough... since I actually bothered to beat all of the arena bosses
