When is NRS gonna get their crap together and fix this damn online?

I don't understand how a Halo: Reach match can have 16 people playing at once lagless when 2 people fight on MK and it's button lag central. Just one concept I never understood.

Halo THRIVES on online play, as do most FPS games.

Online is just a compliment for fighting games.

My point is Bungie knows that their online needs to be perfection.

FPS and fighting games are opposites.
FPS is better online (no screen looking)
Fighting is better offline (no lag)

But NRS has been lacking in the online department, more so than whats acceptable.

I believe as consumers of a product that is supposed to do certain thing, we are entitled to have those things work properly.

Yeah its understandable to get some hickups here and there, but its been 2-1/2 months, and this is not MK's franchise 1st rodeo and still we have way to many issues online.
The desync and disconnects are very annoying if you are pressed for time.
The ranked matches are so inconsistent in connection time that i dont even bother with it.

And i am sorry, but if i pay for something like DLC costumes and characters? I for damn sure want to be able to use them when ever i please.

The dlc was not specified to be for offline only, so the offline only theory goes out the window right there.
I am no expert on how they code this stuff, but why not make it mandatory for you to have to install the dlc compatibility pack in order for you to be able to play online?
it cant be that hard, can it?

i hardly get lag since 1.02 came out, but just the desync and disconnects are horrid and that makes me and many others not want to play at all.

some of us dont have friends that play games, and the ones that do? dont play fighting games.
so online is very important for us, specially when it was advertise as an online game as well.
so i want just like many others, enjoy what we paid for.

Besides that? the game is the best fighting game since MK2 hit the arcades in 93, well thats my honest opinion anyways :)
Love this game very very much, but like others, i am very disappointed in the handling of issues thus far.

Although I do agree online is not so important, it is for people like me who have a brother that refuses to play offline with you b/c he would rather play SC4. He complains that MK is soooo shallow... smh

ON-TOPIC: I really am happy with MK overall. The online is great (for me, except for of course when I can't play as Kenshi b/c some ass hasn't downloaded the compatibility packs. And I do get a fair share of no longer available. The matches I do play are still fun as hell.
I can recognize that one negative shouldn't overshadow a whole bunch of positive HipHop, and I have the same (lack of) offline situation that you do.

The game has been perfect for me. NRS finally fixed it. I've been playing 8 player king of the hill the past two days for the first time.

PS3 btw, if it matters.

Same here. Haven't had any desyncs since the latest patch went live. Connecting to a Ranked match still takes a while but other than that, I'm good to go. The only time I disconnect during a fight is if I'm playing someone with a shifty connection.

umm.... the online portion is the main part of fighting games today. you dont see people lining up to play these titles in the arcades anymore.

Feels like /b/ in here hahaha. Well, more like /v/. Still, I know most of everyone's feels in here, bros.

I've setup private KOTH lobbies lately for up to 6 people with no lag whatsoever. I still get desyncs which are annoying but as long as the game runs smooth for us, which it has now, we're happy.

Xbox for us.

That's because in many parts of the world the arcade is practically dead/dead. I would play beat em up's in my local arcade but they have gone.

I guess I understand that they are different genres, but didn't NRS promise that this would be the least laggiest of fighting games to date?
I don't know where I read that from but I'm pretty sure I read that somewheres.

Your first mistake was believing in an absolute. Its fickle but just cuz they say it doesn't mean its gonna happen. Same for most games. I also want to say its kinda childish to point at them and go "you promised x and I don't see/agree with it...u suck!" Yes shame on them but shame on us for using it to try and make an argument valid when we have moved beyond past tense. The online is awfully good for me atm. But I'm on ps3 too

No it's not a mistake. You can't promise something and have it come out wrong. They rushed it's release IMO because many of the things people asked that weren't included in the game, they replied saying they ran out of time.
And that lag I speak of is horrible button lag. I can deal with slow lag, but when there is slow lag I get desynched or ended.
Still get desynchs out the ass as well.

Believe what you want but your still complaining about past tense when most have moved to present. Are you on 360? On ps3 its quite enjoyable atm. Very few desynchs
