When is NRS gonna get their crap together and fix this damn online?

This is what I payed 60 dollars for? First horrible lag, and now constant disconnects? I have downloaded both the compatibly packs, and almost all matches I play eventually disconnect at some point. I'm getting really tired of this bull****. And I'm not buying any DLC until this crap is resolved.

Why is it that SSFV can get it right on the first try, but it's been this long and nothing has been done yet for Mortal Kombat? This game would definitely be one of the best fighters of this generation if it wasn't for its online. Next time I suggest NRS get their online together first before they waste time on worthless krypt content or a boring repetitive challenge tower with a half-assed reward.

You're not the only one who feels this way. You're not the only one who has ever posted something like this, and seeing as how this is your very first post, I'd suggest you go to the search bar and search for related topics on online problems, or scour the forums until you find a related topic....trust me, it's not hard to find.

But, just to answer your question, there is no answer to your question. >=) It is the catch 22 we must all deal with, and no matter how much we rant and complain, in reality the only thing we can do is wait and hope that they will eventually get it fixed. Not the answer you want to hear, but these are facts. Also, NRS stated that sometime this week they were coming out with a patch to try and fix the disync issues once again, so good luck with that. Welcome to TRMK btw. :D

You paid $60 for a robust cast of kombatants, the deepest story mode of any fighter to date, gore that we all love, the deepest MK game ever, a 300 mission Challenge Tower, loads of secrets and tons of replayability due to Kombat Kodes and fighter mastery.

I find it funny that this thread is right next to the "NRS Appreciation Thread"

When are people like you going to quit complaining?
Never, I spent 60 dollars on this game. I want my damn monies worth. This is 2011, Nobody blows 60+ bucks on singleplayer content anymore for fighters, and if you do, you need to get your properties in-check and sign up for gamefly. Yea the singleplayer is amazing, but thats not why I brought the game, It's a fighter for god's sake, you fight other people and since arcades are mostly non existent in America, online is the next best thing. If it doesn't work whats the point? I only went through the story-mode once, and like I said, challenge tower is boring and repetitive with a crappy reward. "OOOH another half naked melieena and a trophy!" Big deal. I brought this game the day after it came out and the online still hasn't worked properly yet. I'll complain my ass off everywhere.
The third patch is out, and it solves all the online problems. Download it.
Really? Good, I'll try it now. If it works I might actually buy Kenshi.

Online is not the "next best thing".

Offline playing with friends is.

Online is last place in terms of multiplayer, at least for fighters.

Not everyone has gamer friends, are hell even has two controllers. I was an only child, and I live alone now, no need for two controllers. None of my friends play videogames like I do besides Madden and call of duty, so yes online multiplayer is the next best thing for me.

Well don't think I'm being rude when I say, sucks for you.

Sucks for me too because I know how you feel.
ALL of my friends, brothers and sisters exclusively play Call of Duty and other FPS games.

When I can finally coax them into a fighting game, they suck ass with no desires to get better.
So I too am stuck with online, but I don't see the complaints here.

As far as I can see, everything has been fixed on NRS' side.

Desyncs come from the people who are too lazy to redownload the costume packs.

yeah it takes like 15 minutes just to get a match going without seeing the “this session is no longer available” message, and lets not talk about how long it takes to get a ranked match going, but finding a ranked match on SSFIV:AE takes less than 1 minute. luckly i dont get lag though, and luckly i dont play online alot, cuz i usally get pwned by some spammer or guys whos life is MK9. i own on expert, and thats fun enough for me, worth 60$ by far.

This game like every fighting game was meant for offline so....
To some extent yes, fighters are always better offline. But the problem is, Mortal Kombat is an american fighter, and America's arcades are non existent. The last time I saw an arcade stand for a fighter was for Tekken 4. With Capcom fighters like SSFV they are obviously Japanese produced, and they have a huge arcade scene over there. So even if the online sucked they can go right down the street probably and play in the arcade how it was meant to be played.(Unless they live in the rural parts of course)

Same can't be said for Mortal Kombat, so if the online is less than decent we're ****** something serious.

I'm guessing you've never heard io casuals correct? It's when people get together to play offline how the game is meant to be played. Even all these games you guys are bringing up (Tekken/Street Fighter) have lag online. It may not be noticeable but it's there. And it makes a huge difference just like in MK9. Even the best of "lagfree" matches have lag.

Depending on where you live, you can usually find casuals pretty close to your area. They are usually held in places like comic book stores, schools, game stores, arcades, etc. People usually bring their own monitors/systems and set them up for hours. I suggest those who want to play the game for real, hit up one of these events. I know Testyourmight.com has a good region forum so you can look up your area.

Sometimes I think I'm the only one who can play online without any problem.
I don't have any desynch, and my matches don't have any noticeable lag (even in KOTH with max number of people).
My only problem is finding people who want to play me, sometimes I wait for 5-10 minutes in the lobby...:/

ahahah so that's the big issue? You don't play online because you lose? lol

Apparently patch 1.03 should fix this problem all together. I am with you on this, I got 1 game online and the rest are all game session not available!

You guys also do know that it's not always the game's fault, right? If you have shitty Internet and even of you do have decent Internet, if your NAT type is 3 or restricted, you won't be connecting to many people. I have good Internet and NAT type 2 and 9/10 times my matches go smoothly.
