What makes Cyber sub zero so bad?

1. No one wants the classic characters being altered
2. Everyone wanted cyber smoke and they're not getting him, so CSZ gets the blame
 
Cyber Sub-Zero has an awesome moveset, the perfect mixture between offensive and defensive move, only one thing sucks, his fatalities.
 
I thought the idea of CSZ was pretty stupid, but at least in the context of the story mode it was done well.

When I actually played him, though, he was just REALLY clunky (at least to my style of play).
 
i lol'd reading the posts since the beggining and seeing the difference of opinions over the time, cbz is my main and i liked him since i started 2 play because he looked really cool fighting, but peoples's opinion changed a lot when the tier lists available changed him over the time from "shit" to top tier.
but even if that didn't happened i would still disagree with op, he's not the best char in the game, but is really, really far from being bad or one of the worse

This is it right here. All the complaining about sorry ass Cyber Smoke has made people hate Cyber Sub. He is 1000% better than Cyber Smoke and should remain this way. You want to know what makes Cyber Sub so bad? Its what his previous form was before - Cyber Smoke.

they made sub-zero a friggin cyborg. it don't get much worse than that. they finally gave sub a decent story and his design was awesome, the best in the game if you ask me. and then they made him into what cyber smoke should have been. all so that a crappy grey ninja with stupid hair could stay human only to get killed down the line. what the ****!!!!

I initially thought that the cyber subzero we were going to introduced to was gonna be bi han's dead body resurrected. and at some point noob and the cyber body were gonna be merged. i was mistaken however.

his fatalities suck. the only cool move he has is the ice parry and his combos look way to last minute and impractial, not a fan at all. terrible way to treat such an iconic character as subzero. hopefully in the next game they pull some kinda trick outta there ass and get subzero back to himself.

1. I didn't mind it, but I can totally understand how some Sub fans feel
2. In all the polls I saw it was pretty even or Human Smoke was pulling head, personally I didn't want robo Smoke.
3. I kinda like Cyber Sub, he has a cool story, but he'll probably come out human when everyone is resurrected in MK10

I've mained Cyber Subzero for a month of two and I gotta agree.
He has so many good moves, but his fatalities are Shit tier.

Agreed. I love CSZ and he fits perfectly with the time reset part of the story. If everything had been the same as the original time flow, everyone would be b****ing that the time reset was just a stupid gimmick.
 
I love Cyber Sub-Zero in this game but he is too different from the original Subby to make me want him to stick around.

As far as I know the majority of MK community wanted Human Smoke (including me).
Can't say I'm fond of Cyber Sub, but he's not as bad as haters make him look. He was executed well as a character.
 
1. MK3 was popular back then.
2. MK fans were shocked when they found out about smoke.
3. People still like smoke if he's Cyber or not.
