What if (and this really worries me)

What if the comic is much like a way for NRS to get rid of Mileena, Red Dragon, Reiko, Rain and maybe others (probably all other INTERESTING characters such as Tanya) before the game comes out?

What if the comic is the only place where the war between Mileena and Kotal is shown? And the comic ends with Kotal having killed, Rain, Mileena, Reiko, the entire Red Dragon and Goro (who survives of course because he's from MK1)

We haven't seen a single Mileena/Reiko/Red Dragon/Rain hint in the MKX game and a lot of Kotal's allies are seen already.

so they:

1) Want to keep Mileena + allies a secret and surprise

2) They want to get rid of them in the comic and give that boring Sonya + CO a reason to have a role in MKX, so goodguys INC will be the ones fighting Kotal + Allies instead of Mileena...

That would be horrible for me, the comic is doing so well, hope the game doesn't spoil it up!

What do you hope will happen?

1) The entire mileena club will die in the comic and don't spoil your game.
2) The entire mileena club will survive and shine in the game.

I'm obviously a 2) person, I would hate 1) And even not like the entire game when they go that route.
 
Er, except we have seen a hint of Mileena in the game.

Judging by some snapshots of the storymode it looks like the NRW happens in the game. Not too mention I heard the comic isn't entirely cannon anyway???

I really wouldn't fret about it.
 
there is no way Mileena is not in the game. having said that, I hope Rain will get his chance to shine in this game and also would love to see Reiko. fingers crossed :D
 
I personal doubt it. I don't think Ed Boon and NRS hate post-MK3 stuff as fans make it out to be. Hsu Hao was killed off since most people don't like him and killing him off in the comics means that they can have him stay dead for good. I think the Red Dragon will probably be killed off while Daegon goes off hiding in the Nether Realm with Shinnok. He does not seem like the person would go fight a war with the Black Dragon. I see Kano killing off Mavado though.

Hsu Hao is so unpopular that John Vogel, the main story writer, doesn't even like him, which is why he gets killed off almost as quickly as he shows up. Makes me question why he was even kreated in the first place.

Hsu Hao was likely filler. He was created just for the stake of being on the roster since Midway wanted new characters. I think characters on the roster should be added if they play apart in the story and not be killed off just to be killed off. Hsu Hao even died in Jax's canon ending in MKDA.
 
Tanya can crawl into a hole and die... forever. I don't care about Mileena either but she's at least "meh" as a character.
 
I really hope Daegon lives on and the 3 sons of Argus unite to defend Edenia. That would be epic.

On a sidenote, Sonya and Jax are lame (as are most MK3 characters)

The 3D era had better storyline and more interesting characters but lousy gameplay. That's why Reiko, Tanya, Havik or Daegon aren't as well known as Liu Kang (who, bytheway, sucks too)
 
I think the fall of Kotal Kahn may be something we see on the comics.

Maybe we give him support to overthrow whosoever will be there (Reiko? Mileena?).

Things are not turning good, he already asked for help.

1) NRS has nothing to do with the comic. It's all Kittelsen.

2) It is going to be used to explain why some characters aren't in the game. I can definitely see the Red Dragon getting wiped out and having nary a presence in the game, but Mileena is pushing it. There's no way she's killed off in the comic. I wouldn't worry. Reiko is a maybe. I doubt Rain; even if he doesn't show up in the game, Kittelsen isn't going to want to kill off characters he might want to use for future storylines.

Boon has talked about the Outworld Civil War being very important to the MKX story months before the comics were even announced. So far, I think the only Civil War stuff that the comic has gone into that the game won't will be Kotal's origin story and why Kotal became a blood god (his father dying).

And lol at Goro surviving because he's from MK1. Sorry to tell you, but things aren't looking good for him. He's DLC for a reason, I think.
