First =/= Significant.

Just think, the one game Johnny had any real relevance in (MKX), he is already being replaced by someone else (Cassie).

However, he did prove that even though a character has been secondary through all its existence, it can still get a chance in the spotlight. And the main point of this was to tell you that such could also happen to other secondary characters, such as Jade.

And likewise, a character that has been the main hero throughout the entire series could end up being a secondary character with no real importance, such as Liu Kang.

It all depends on NRS and what they decide to do with them. It doesn't matter what they once were, because as is proven, NRS can change their fate if they want to.

It wasn't Johnny's fault MK came to exist. The credit lies solely with Ed Boon and John Tobias. They had a game idea based on JCVD, they couldn't sell the idea, so they instead made a whole other game which ended up being Mortal Kombat. Johnny is just a character based on their original JCVD game idea, and he was a second-rate character all the way through the series.
 
I'd like some more of the post trilogy characters to be revamped. They have potential, but a lot of hardcore haters of the 3D era just aren't willing to give them a second chance. Kenshi, Tanya and Shinnok have shown what success a redesign and solid moveset can do for a post trilogy character.

Sareena - They could give her the demon stuff that they gave Kenshi since it really doesn't fit him to begin with, transform her into her demon form for the variation since you gave Leatherface different costumes per variation and boom....cool character.

Fujin - Wind powers, hello? Tornadic debris, wind guts, aerial combat, his crossbow from MK4 etc. There's tons you can do with this guy, so stop slacking with this concept already NRS. I don't throw the slacking term around often but come on, this stuff speaks for itself.

Frost - Nimble, ice weaponry, ice projectiles, ect. This could work. Hell there are some moves that Sub-Zero had in MKvsDC that he never had in any other game they could give her.(some people might not be too fond of this idea though)

Li Mei - She should be the female Liu Kang of the game. Give her something more than just power blasts and spin kicks. Make her a real martial artist since she was trained to be one anyway. She should be the fastest and most nimble female character in the game; i.e. female Liu Kang for the average gameplayer. Someone you can pick up and easily play without much thought or effort. A perfect entry character.

Nitara - They could give her some stuff like glamour stun, some aerial flight moves and more moves centered around blood and biting.

Havik - Balls to the wall type stuff here. Have him use his limbs as weaponry and then reattach. Make him just nuts to watch and play as. Game is already rated M, go ballistic with the gore and the appeal will be there.

Kira - Being a female Black Dragon member, she had an interesting concept. The problem was that they just that they just made her a mix of Kano and Sonya. They could give something like an AK-47 that has a blade attached to it. And maybe stuff like an RPG, land mines and dynamite. I also think it's funny how that is the main criticism Kira seems to get, when characters like Smoke initially had that issue as well.

26. Kana and Jubei Hasashi (Scorpion's wife, Kana, and son, Jubei, fight together like how Ferra/Torr faught in MKX. Kana has a Naginata and Jubei has a spear similar to Scorpion's. Kana uses the Naginata similar to how Tanya uses it in MKX but does have a much more a variety of attacks.)
27. Goro (Has a new set of arms that have retractable blades like a Tarkatan warrior. Unlockable Sub-Boss.)
28. Onaga (Final Boss. Finish story mode to unlock him.)


Kombat Pack 1:
1. Triborg (PRE-ORDER BONUS)
2. Noob Saibot OR Noob-Smoke
3. Shang Tsung (Has Ermac's moves plus his own and does have Ermac's skin.)
4. Khameleon (Or who ever was the female raptor in Reptile's MKX ending.)
5. Jade (Possessed by the mysterious woman in her MK9 ending with new set of powers along with her staff weapon.)


Kombat Pack 2:
1. Kai
2. Nitara
3. Mileena (Clone if original Mileena was the one in killed in MKX OR original Mileena if the one killed in MKX was a clone.)
4. Jason (Returns as a revenant serving Liu Kang and Kitana. This may or may not be a clone/illusion made by sorcery just to build an army of revenants for Netherrealm.)
5. Freddy Kreuger (Returns from the Dream Realm. This character may or may not be a clone/illusion summoned by the mystery woman that was in Jade's MK9 ending through magic/sorcery from the Dream Realm.)

I thought it through and I think it'd be nice to bring back Jason Vorhees and Freddy Kreuger 1 more time just to see them fight each other (for fan service).
 
The characters for MK11:
- Tanya - considering her success, I simply don't see them not including her in the main roster;
- Taven and Daegon - Kenshi and Takeda's ending scream canon for MK11. I hope they go all the way with these characters giving time control to Taven and space manipulation to Daegon;
- Cassie, Takeda, Kung Jin, Kotal Kahn, D'Vorah and Erron Black - these 6 seemed to have been very well received and I can see them returning;
- Kitana, Liu Kang and Kung Lao - for fans obviously;
- Raiden and Fujin - the evil and good Gods of Earthrealm;

For final boss... I simply don't see Liu Kang and Kitana being the main evil guys, since they barely hold on their on in MKX.
So... there's only one true ruler of Outworld ---> THE DRAGON KING :O

You forgot Hanzo Hasashi and Kuai Liang. They are the Box Office Characters of MK.

Well they're in whether he likes it or not, because Scorpion and Sub-Zero ARE Mortal Kombat. They are to MK what Ryu and Ken are to Street Fighter. If he doesn't like them beimg in MK to the point where he wants to omit them, he can leave the fanbase and never come back.

Yes, but that doesn't mean he HAS to mention them as part of characters he WANTS in.

If he explained that he didn't mention them because "it's so obvious they'll be in that they need no mention", no problem. If he doesn't want the two biggest Box Office characters in MK, then it's fair to question him on why he doesn't want the two characters fans pay to see the absolute most, and why he wants to stab MILLIONS of fans in the back over his own personal wishes.

That's not for you to decide. Fortunately, you don't get to decide anything.

He didn't have to mention them at all, and no, you weren't stating facts. You literally said that if he wanted them out of MK, he should leave the fanbase. That's not a fact. And no. He shouldn't.

I don't give a flying f#ck about Scorpion, and if he wasn't in MK, I wouldn't care one bit. And I'm not going to go anywhere.

I was also hoping for Kung Lao and Kitana to sit out from MKX, and I'm also not going anywhere.
The thing is, the same playable Trilogy characters in every game can get stale, especially when said characters are nothing but cameos and have as much importance in said game as Frost, Sindel, Sareena, Baraka, Kabal, Stryker and Smoke / Enenra.

This thread is about people's personal wishlists, not about which characters will likely be in the next game, due to icon status.
 
I'm just hoping for more post mk3 characters. The ones they have brought back I think they've done a good job. Who can really say they think Reptile was better portrayed/done better than Shinnok or Tanya?

Give a chance to characters like Hotaru, Havik, Reiko, Drahmin, Ashrah, or Mavado. Please stop giving us the same Reptile in everygame (punching bag) same with all the punching bag characters every game, just replace them with new faces.
