What DON'T you want to see in MK10?

Also just like cyrax, subzeros ex ground freeze needed the nerf. Resets are not good for the games health.

I think if they made it look close enough to regular freeze so it's hard to tell.

Regular freeze to catch them out of jump or counter poke. Ground freeze shound be string cancel'able as an answer to block.

Ground freeze isn't 100% useless. There are mix ups with it along his B2 on hard knockdowns get up, B2 hits you, stay down to avoid it, ice puddle gets you.

I saw the trailer at work with no sound... Really though, Wiz Khalifa? Pulling a Tekken and going the rapper route, then again I'm not surprised consdiering Boon takes a lot of inspiration from Tekken due to it being his favourite fighting game.

Wiz is just too mainstream and annoying, and defines what's wrong with Modern, commercial Hip-Hop, but that's a discussion for another thread.

No 53%combos ...cyrax.im confident that they will learn from the last MK and see how people took full advantage of cyrax..dude was just broken.I beat him most of the time but still..that's all you needed to know was that one combo and you where good.

To everyone complaining about Whiz Khalifa, don't forget we had this.

As much as I don't hate dubstep, I do not think it's good for a MK trailer.
This is just clueless idiots trying to be hip.

No ridiculous 50%+ damage combos. All combos seriously need to be capped out so the entire game is no, OH NO I MADE ONE MISTAKE, TIME TO SIT HERE FOR 30 SECONDS WHILE I TAKE A LONG ASS JUGGLE COMBO AND WATCH ALL MY HEALTH DISAPPEAR!

50% damage combos are fine for bosses, though.
It gives you a reason to respect them, aside from uber strong damage hits.

Some stuff I really hope they get right in MKX:

1. Lighting. It annoys the crap out of me that some effects that should cast light don't, while some effects that should not cast light, actually do. Raiden's hands' lighting during his victory poses should be blinding in a way that should make everything else black. I mean, he has a 40cm electric arc between his hands!!! Well, the game doesn't think that should emit light apparently. Stuff that does emit light however: Sub-zero's ice, which I remind you people, is supposed to be ICE!, and Rain's water specials, which are meant to be WATER, damnit! While they're at it, please lower the average lighting level in the stages. Most of them are full-blown lit. Where's the mystique in that?

2. Cheesiness vs badassery. If characters in MK1/2 were a mastiff that looks at you silently knowing he can murder you whenever it wants, in MK9 they are like rabid poodles that need to be as obnoxiously loud and noisy as they can manage. I got the first hint of this in the first trailer, when Raiden faces Shao Kahn. Everything was right until Raiden opens his mouth and lets out this "BLAAAARGH!" before charging at SK. It seems like no special can go without some babble scream. THERE'S NO NEED FOR IT!
Also, don't get me started on the round start crap quotes. What's with the teenager-ish bluffing? You're supposed to be the universe's top elite of fighters for christ's sake! Who writes this crap? Also, some of the victory animations and specials... The one most affected is Raiden. What's with him shooting those two random bolts into the air at the start of the round? Also, couldn't they have made them feel more underpowered with that "chirp, chirp" sound? Same thing goes to his bolt power. In MK1 it looked like this tangled lighting which made this satisfying blast sound and visual effect when it hit. In MK9 it's this indistinct blue light as it was in MK4, which makes this "schweef" sound and does almost nothing when it hits. Also, the last hit in Raiden's X-ray, that ball that sits in his hand, which he puts in front of the opponent's face and "pfffst!" I mean, REALLY?
Also, over the top stupid fatalities. A couple that come to mind are Johnny Cage stuffing that award trophy into the other guy's neck, and Kano punching a hole in the other guy's chest and stuffing his head into it. What is this now? Happy Tree Friends?

3. Model anatomy and portraits design. I don't think I need to delve into detail on this one. The models look RIDICULOUS, and so do the portraits. If you can't manage a proper human being, hire people to do 3D capture and be done with it. About the portraits, most of them are laughably bad, looking like their faces are all crooked and asymmetrical. Do they even have an art QA dept that check the stuff?

4. Music. Does anyone recall any of the songs from MK9? Because I sure do remember all of the ones from MK1, 2 and 3.

Completely disagree.
I don't want this game to be like SFIV where a 16 hit combo does 20%

I'm not saying I want Quan Chi's unblockable Rune Trap or Cyrax's bomb resets. But high damage combos are what keep the game fun for me. Sektor had huge damage potential in MK9, 53% meterless corner combo, but he was one of the most balanced characters in the game.

I DON'T want to see in MK X:

1 - Online lag / terrible online netcode.
Given that NRS improved the online in Injustice, I expect the online to be better, as they learn from their mistakes.

2 - Hit boxes.
This was also improved upon in Injustice, and I hope that it's better.
As for individual hits, I want the hits to feel like they have more weight to them too, and feel more devastating.

3 - Player 1 advantage
Again, this was also fixed in Injustice, but an improvement on it would be even better.

4 - MK going back to ALL the old elements / characters of the old storyline.
I expect some elements and characters to be present / return, but since MK9 skewed the timeline a bit, I hope to see MK being headed in a new direction.

PLZ no more super characters like ...hmm...cyrax,Kung Lao and Kabal.oh and don't forget about scorpion's 50/50 reset..
I'm cool with those characters.
The one that gets on my nerves is Noob Saibot.
His three shadow specials are incredibly fast, and have incredible range.
If you're lucky, you can throw the running one, and if the opponent jumps over it, throw another one that grabs him before he lands.
Spam that, together with his teleport, which is pretty much unstoppable if you're doing anything but blocking or crouching, and you're done.
You'll get a couple of hits, but you can almost play without watching.

There was nothing else for me to learn..I finished in the top ten and with a 39 plus skill level without using those OP characters lol
