What DON'T you want to see in MK10?

Sub-Zero can be used as a major turtle, but you can rush down with him. I play a really aggressive Sub-Zero and people don't know how to react to it. I don't hide behind ice clones and throw ice balls. I'll cancel a string into a clone, dash forward, and attack through it. Though I would like a faster paced Sub-Zero... like in the old games.
 
Yeah, Sub-Zero is supposed to be a swift, cunning Lin Kuei Assassin, not some powerhouse brute dressed in Lin Kuei attire. Like I said, he's NRS' Guinea Pig, they can do all these changes to him, learn what to do and what not to do, and fans will still love him.

Even if it means killing him in everything...
 
I don't want to see any glitches happening when I pick my character. Sometimes I get human Cyrax when I pick the normal one. Even sometimes without even going to the costume selector.

I also don't want Scorpion to have an unblockable move.

Glitches can appear in any game, but I will say that modern console games have gotten really sloppy since publishers/devs know they can patch their games later.
 
Hmmm... what I wouldn't want to see in mk10.... I guess difficult...

1. Smaller roster (because of "dead" characters). Just bring them back into roster for arcade or something.
2. Less features
3. Stripper outfits
4. weird female faces (like sonya)
5. HIGH HEELS
6. crappy netcode
7. framerate drops
8. missing arenas in arcade mode

maybe there is more, but this are the main ones I wouldn't want to see
 
I don't want to see:

1-Unbalanced fighting mechanics.
2-Challenge tower with 300 challenges.
3-Less than 2 alt costumes per character.
4-"Watch and fight" story mode (i want to see mini games in story mode like injustice).
5-Guest character(s) that make no sense.
6-Test your sight.
7-Shao Kahn-Frost-Kobra-Darrius.
8-Reiko is not in the game.

I totally agree with the author of this thread. Maybe the fact that they killed majority of the cast in last game can be beneficial.

The move sets and appearances of the original cast are perfect so maybe they will just
copy and paste them to the new game as "bonus" that can be used in versus and arcade modes.
They could exclude all the dead characters from story mode and concentrate on MK4 era.
It is hard to imagine that some of those classic characters would not apear in MK10 at all. MK9 was a competitive game and had strong tournament fallowing. While watching streams from those tournaments I saw Ed Boon and NRS design team attending many times, so it would be weird if they turn their back on those people by removing their main characters form the sequel.

Maybe after some ground up redesign I could give a second chance to some of them but honestly I would prefer some new characters.

I belive he should be a badass boss that take place of Shao Khan.

Doesn't suprise me. They destroy him in everything: Cutscenes, gameplay, gameplay trailers, promotional material...

I honestly feel like NRS had some sort of vendetta against Sub-Zero in MK9. Add everything you said, plus they killed BOTH Sub-Zeros in storymode, turned Kuai cyber (which nobody asked for), made him slow and admittedly just not as fun to play with at times. It's like they were intentionally trying to crap on him in the last game. Yet, he's still the third most popular character. I think if not for these setbacks he would beat Raiden as well. So, suck it NRS.lol.

I add it all up to wanting to make Scorpion their poster boy. They knew it was sort of an even race up until MK9. So, they let us know who is more of a priority to them. That's just my theory though.

Add the slow speed to his Ground Freeze being nerfed to hell, and NRS single-handedly destroyed him.

you're ridiculous, he only had trouble with characters with REALLY strong zoning. (post patch)

Ground freeze and speed on his attacks wouldn't help that. they need to make it like the reason he does ok against Noob, and Reptile and NOT Kabal/Freddy/Kenshi/Skarlet

Is because of the SPEED at which they can shoot projectiles. Subzero can squeeze in a ice-ball trade if noob/reptile are too spam happy.

Subzero can't trade ice-ball with Kabal/Freddy/Kenshi/Skarlet if they are played properly.

they should've made his EX freeze nearly instant, that threat alone would make the zoners he has problems with not spam as much.

he didn't NEED speed on his normals to be a top character, because speed doesn't matter if the frame data still gives you advantage or not.

Subzero's B1,2,1 Looks slow as hell... too bad the frame data allows for a free follow up at the end of the string regardless of how fast it "looks"

outside of roll, mileena's normals are pretty slow. It's her specials that "make her look fast" but they are extremely punishable. for instance Mileena's Up+4 is +9 on block. She gets a free follow up when you block this move, but it's a slow ass move.
 
Meat, Mokap, and Chameleon unless they are extremely revamped.

It'd be nice for Meat to be more monstrous like the Lickers in the Resident Evil series.

Chameleon, he can have his own reptilean moves.

For Mokap, I can't really think of anything for him.
 
I would really like a story mode that's different from the current trend. Its not bad and the cut scenes are great but I'd like some possibly better. Something just feels bland about it after several games like that.

I wouldn't want returning characters in the game without explaination of how they escape their fate in the netherrealm.

I'd also don't want to see character with bad combo's. I love Noob Saibot as a character but he didn't have alot of pop ups to work with or to start a good enough chain. I feel like Martian Manhunter was his counter part in that respect.
 
I do not want to see weapons used for characters. I hope that they have tons of arenas in the game and I do not want that super lag online. I enjoyed the MK9 a lot the Krypt was weak though…. they need to improve on the unlockables in it. The artwork in the crypt was awesome and so was the way you opened each section. we just need better rewards for spending our coins… LIke MORE COSTUMES for all characters. Everything else in MK9 was great though… just bring that back over. I enjoyed the tower too that was cool.
 
Challenge tower was okay but I'd much prefer mini games. That would be AWESOME if they had Motor Kombat, Chess Kombat, and Puzzle Kombat online.
 
I don't want to see the run button make a return. I'm all for better mobility, but I like dash blocking and I fear that if the run button makes a return, footsies will be a lot less effective.
