I don't think MK's mechanics are unncessarily complicated. Honestly I find the dial a combo system makes it the easiest fighting game to pick up and play, especially for a beginner.
I beg to differ...
A bit differently.
Its astounding to me how many people seem to want them to just keep making the same game over and over.
If you want to play as all the MK1-3 characters and those stages play MK9.
Please don't be a I-hate-Rain-because-he's-purple-so-he-must-be-gay type of guy! ANd hate him for other reasons.
I like Rain because he's a male edenian, he's vain and he has water-abilities. He has BIG story potential next to Kitana, Mileena, Tanya and Reiko, unlike many others...
I pretty much agree with all this.
I would love to see him and Kitana fight over who should rule Edenia, Rain having Mileena's and Reiko's support while Kitana has Earthrealm's support. Maybe make it into a civil war.
I'd rather seen Rain in the comics/game next to Mileena than Reiko, I think Reiko suits more with Quan Chi or Tanya, and Rain being more the type that would seduce Mileena to gain her throne.
If they were marketing purely towards the casuals we wouldn't have a comic series, Kollector's editions or gameplay streams.
The comics which starred Scorpion for the first 3 issues, the Kollector's Editions which only have Scorpion and the gameplay streams which feature Kung Lao, Ermac, Reptile and Kitana?
Yup.
Totally not pandering to the casuals.

its marketed towards hardcore more I belive, because mk in the 90's was very popular so the hardcore fan base is huge.
^^^^^^ I dont why ppl like that kharacter so much, the only Rain I like is from "Ninja Assassin"
In my experience, in the US, you cant return opened games. If there is something wrong with it, they will exchange it. Most retail establishments I have encountered will open the new copy before you leave the store to prevent you from trying to return it.
Huh?
GameStop will always take peoples games back for a lower price, and so will Best Buy.
I don't know where these "stores" are, which you speak of, in which games can't be returned.
