Valve & Steam thread.

Just buy the half-life complete pack and the CS complete pack they I cost I think between 20-25 dollars, + they contain a large number of good games.

Just registered now after the steam summer sale?! I did not spend much money but got well over 20 great titles.

Pro-tip: Bide your time with TF2 for free...then wait until CS:GO comes out next month and I am sure they will do promotional sale then.

Counter Strike: Global Offense is now available for pre-purchase with 10% off AND access to the Beta on the 14th. CS:GO will be available the 21st.

Just purchased mine, can't wait until Tuesday!

GO! GO! GO!

Got the CS:GO beta and I and learning to love it.

Has a more realistic approach. Still the most hardcore game in turns of punishment. But the feel and presentation has a more military feel. The hitboxes need to be tweaked a bit, as I feel I am not getting as many kills as I did in 1.6 or Source.

The new weapons are great and a nice addition. Guns feel more spread out and not just a AK vs M4A1 (OP'ed by AWP) match.

The models are lame but growing on me as the models represent the scenario, not just 4 models to chose from for CT and T. So I do enjoy that.

Maps are cleaned up a bit and like the new (slight) additions to them. Missing a lot of the older maps but we will see them in time, I am sure. Game seems to have more gravity to it and feels a little more 'heavier'.

For the first 5-10 mins I hated it, 10-40 mins I was mixed. Now I have played about 2 hours and really starting to get the feel back. It is a new feeling, and while I still miss the old CS. This is a welcomed exception, so far.

Alright, the new Steamguard login thing is a pain in the ass. I know its supposed to help, but its just annoying and glitchy. It says it sends you the steamguard password to your email, but it never works. And sometimes it randomly doesnt ask and I'm fine, which is weird.

Anyway, Mann Vs Machine is cool. Everyone who has played TF2 in the past should at least check it out once. Its like a whole new way to play. It can get very challenging at times, alot of trial and error and high replay value.

And I've taken a liking into one of the new map's design very much for some reason. I even took a screenshot of it, I wonder why I like it so much? hmmmm ........

Wish I was a PC gamer.
You guys seem to get middle pieces of the garlic bread. And I'm stuck with hard crusty end pieces.

well if PC games are what you really are interested in then by all means try to save up and make it a goal, I recommend looking for an older/cheaper one. Cause you dont have to always have top notch everything.

Most people just shrug and are happy to have their console, but if you really want to get into PC games and you feel thats whats right for you, go for it. Cause it is a different approach to video games.

Do you guys play on your monitors or do you hook your stuff to a TV?
I think the biggest turn off of PC gaming for me is playing with a mouse and keyboard.
I got a wired PS3 controller though, so I guess I'm good.

Thank you Sky Valley.

I just play with straight up keyboard/mouse and monitor.

But hooking up to tv's and controllers for PC are quite common, and work fine. But if you ever do switch to PC and use your contoller, make sure you get your money's worth and put it to use. Would hate to see anyone spend all that money, just to end up pretty much using a PC just like a console and wasting it's potential.

But since you seem to always be talking about modding and other features and what not, I guess you dont have to worry about that.

Yeah, I need to get a new computer anyway for college.
The one I'm using now is all kinds of broken. Crashes out of nowhere, has horrible framerate and I am constantly getting the Whatever Is Not Responding screens on everything I open. Plus the hinges are broken. I have to lean it up against a stool on my table or else it goes completely flat.

CS:GO!!!

I probably buy it sometime next week though, looking forward to play it and it's mad cheap. 15 bucks :D

Why didn't you buy it yesterday for $13 plus early access?

@BBBLP,

I play with a toaster and a potato. I never get malware looking at porn through my toaster.

Cause, I'm broke Lol.

Plus It's nothing but 2 bucks extra and my birthday is on Friday and there's always that one Aunt or Uncle who gives you a birthday card with 20 bucks in it 8)

Sooo your PC overheated and crashed, Lol?

and will do man, does it feel like Source or is it like switching from 1.6 to Source?

1.6 to Source was easy. This is a new beast that you have played with before. I can't quite get all the headshots I would before, more tactical, but a lot more n00bs playing now. Feels more military. Choosing weapons is completely different but could work out better once you get used to it. I am just stuck in my old ways, IE forgot to plug in my toaster.

Dammit, I'm going to be grinding it out in the training course perfecting my one clicks and recoil control. I'm looking forward to Awping though, I'm a terrible rifleman.

Never put an AK in my hands while playing Source..

Well, you will want to be able to learn the sub machine guns, they play a bigger role this time around. It is not just AK vs M4 with AWP rape.

BTW, I love the Molotiv! I hate when it is used against me of course but I love throwing it down the hall, set 3 couter terrorists aflame in Dust1 last night.

Going to play now. xoxo

I have a kink for confidence in woman that have braces, sorry I was texting Sky Valley.
