TX Judge beats daughter in video, possibly guilty of criminal child abuse.

Why did she wait so long to upload this video is my question.

perhaps fear that it wouldn't do any good against a judge?

It's kind of like trying to tattle tell on your parent to your other parent. That's how you feel, like it won't do any good because the guy was a JUDGE.

Like if my dad was a lawyer, I'd thnk twice about trying to bring that stuff up lol. Never know what kind of tricks lawyers can pull out of their ass.

Apparently she still lived in that household and was afraid to post the video until she had moved out. So, I really don't think this was a one time thing. Fear like that doesn't come from being beaten once.

Utter goddamn bull shit.
Well, makes no sense for us to get mad over what would have happened.
The american justice system has always been corrupt.

uh yeah... The corrupt of it is EVERYWHERE...

Right to bear arms....

Every single teacher/professor/PHD in Politics/government. KNOWS that it's ment so the people can use weapons to overcome the government if it ever falls out of bounds and takes too much power.

It's a safety system so if the government tries to become tyrannic, We have guns to stop it. If we don't have guns, Well good luck fighting guys who do have guns.

This isn't the revolutionairy war days where we can win because our enemies are dumb enough to stand in a straight line and take turns firing.

Sorry random tangent.... moving on.

Yeah, it appears that way.

BTW I can relate.

My biological dad who i don't talk to anymore.
THREW me at a wall when I was between 4-5 more than 5 times.

Everytime I asked a parent a favor believe me I asked my mom.

You do realize that words can be even more damaging to a young and impressionable person right? I've had bruises and broken bones from abuse. The physical pain is a temporary pain. You'll remember it, but you'll never truly feel it again after the damage has been done. I haven't seen this video, but for you to say that the language and (most likely) hateful words don't hurt and leave a scar of pain in your memory that you don't want to remember is beyond insulting.

As someone who also has been on the receiving end of violence from family growing up, I for one understand what Jade meant and I don't find it insulting. While I see your point, there isn't any denying that the judge's physical actions are very appalling. And I'm pretty sure that Jade didn't say that such language and emotional abuse didn't hurt. Look over her post again if you're unsure.

Some additional tidbits I learned by watching an interview the daughter did on the Today show:

1. Beatings were indeed a regular occurrence, that's why she set up the video camera because she knew things were escalating to that point and they did.

2. Whatever it was she downloaded on the computer was something not released in the US, so she wasn't trying to steal, there wasn't any way for her to legitimately obtain it in the US.

3. She has a mild form of cerebral palsy, so not only did he beat his child he beat a physically disabled child.

Damn thats messed up, that guy is like a rapist.Anyway im happy this is uploaded, now everyone will start to treat him like shit. And his reputation is lost. Also he will go to jail. Can anyone tell me why he beat her
P.S. whats even sick is that the mom is helping the father.

He beat her because she was downloading something that wasn't available for purchase, Solidshiek.
So, "stealing" music or something like that.
And, she has a mild form of cerebral palsy.
So, that should make everyone more pissed.

*facepalm*

Not once in my post did I suggest that the language was not an issue. I just found it appalling that, of all the things in the video, he only seemed to have a problem with the language and how he tried to play down the beatings she took.

Also, please point out where I apparently said words were not hurtful because I am having trouble finding it.

It's a little more insulting that you are blatantly telling me that something I didn't even say in my post insults you. Putting words in people's mouths to try to drive a point home is lame.

Damn son.

That dude was seriously foaming at the mouth to hit that girl.
Thank god the mother was there, I mean she wasn't much help, but she did hold him back a little.

Damn!!!!!!!! There is discipline and then there is this bull.

1. She has cerebral palsy

2 Music download? Really! Motherphucker really! People can't download music anymore. WTF is wrong with this dude!

3. If you discipline a child the goal is that the child doesn't make that mistake again. And for the child to learn from it My. mom beat me when i did really stupid or dangerous things. At least i knew when she did discipline me it was out of love. What love do you see here! Thats all unjustified rage and frustration being taken out on that poor child. Its schmucks like this dude who make people scared to discipline their kids then when they running around doing what ever they wonder where they went wrong. Sorry i started to rant....anyways this video is exactly what you shouldn't do to a child you "love"

I don't know why some of you are trying to push the cerebral palsy. Abuse is abuse is abuse, and it is wrong, no matter if your child is disabled/sick in any way or not. People love to look at things in a darker light when the child is sick but the fact of the matter is that it is wrong, regardless. I get WHY people push the issue, but look at the entire situation as a whole, not 'omg the kid is sick, this is way worse!!!' NO child, ill or not, should have their parent do this.

I think people are just pointing out that her condition makes an f-ed up situation even worse. A beating like that is terrible in any light, but a parent of a child with disabilities should have more restraint than that.

i get what jade is saying.....still *OFF TOPIC* this is why people don't like to discipline kids. a bit older now and seeing kidz . really goes to show parents today need to grow some ballz and brains. THIS GUY NEEDS TO BE castrated.. like i said before THAT isn't discipline that is pent up rage. sorry but i have niece that just doesn't listen to me. if a don't discipline her its bad for her in the long run. if i do a lot of people will have this video playing in their heads. this subject is already touchy. next thing you know i get arrested for "attempted discipline "

A wise man once said, "Violence is the refuge of the incompetent". You shouldn't have to resort to it to instill discipline in your child.

lol, funny thing. I use to prefer a spanking over being grounded.

but this one was a whole other level of fear.

I may prefer spankings over grounding, but I don't prefer being thrown at a wall. Or much less this video get hit like 30+ times with a belt.
