TX Judge beats daughter in video, possibly guilty of criminal child abuse.

My father used to hit me. Each time it got worse. Went from normal spankings to belts then escalated to slaps across the face. I finally turned 18 and declared I wasn't going to take any of it anymore. One night I came home pretty late and he had something to say about it. I tried to walk away from it and he slapped me across the face. All those years of holding the anger in finally came out in one violent shove/punch and my dad went flying back. It didnt stop there. We fought for a few minutes. Long story short, he never hit me after that. Not suggesting anyone to get into a fist fight with there parents but I will say that after a while, the abuse gets really old and one can only take it for so long before eventually they cant any longer.

What a lovely world we live in.
The judge gets off without a hitch, and the daughter has her income cut off.

Hooray for humanity.

This is america, where signs like these are necessary because people will sue over everything.

I love how we change/bend the rules all the time aka. Ban on gun ownership is unconstitutional, but somehow states get away with it. But we can't bend a stupid 7year rule, to get some justice.

I think people who sue over small accidents or indiscretions.
Should get paid in quarters. And then force-fed said quarters.

Then they receive their money when nature decides.

i get what jade is saying.....still *OFF TOPIC* this is why people don't like to discipline kids. a bit older now and seeing kidz . really goes to show parents today need to grow some ballz and brains. THIS GUY NEEDS TO BE castrated.. like i said before THAT isn't discipline that is pent up rage. sorry but i have niece that just doesn't listen to me. if a don't discipline her its bad for her in the long run. if i do a lot of people will have this video playing in their heads. this subject is already touchy. next thing you know i get arrested for "attempted discipline "

It isn't videos like this that make people not want to discipline kids, it's the fact that society is so sensitive that any little thing is considered 'abuse'. Kids have 911 on speed dial because they can call it and get a parent in a lot of trouble for something as small as even raising their hand to them.

In this day and age, being grounded means what? THANKS, MOM AND DAD, I CAN CHILL IN MY ROOM WITH MY VIDEO GAMES, TV AND COMPUTER.

When I was a kid, we got the belt. It was nothing like what this guy did, where it was hits to bare skin, and for a lengthy amount of time. We got it on the ass. My dad had a leather belt with a skull buckle. We just had to look at it to remember how to be a good kid.

Also, not sure if it has been mentioned, but anyone who says 'you should just sit your kid down and talk to them' is a fool. Do you really think a kid wants to sit there and listen to a lecture on what is right or wrong? Kids don't care about that and it will be in one ear and out the other.

Society has gone soft and this is why kids these days are little *******s. On Friday, when I was on my way home from the store, two kids, maybe around 9 years old, were throwing acorns at a family sitting in the nearby park....while their parents just ignored it and continued to stand there.

Pathetic. I was inclined to whip acorns at the little shit myself, tbh. Not right, of course, but the parents were just standing there like they allowed their kids to have that kind of fun while another family was trying to chill at the park.

I used to get my ass beat by my mom and dad.
Much worse then that child in the video.
Got the shit beat out of me with a belt.
And it was over shit stupider than stealing music (that wasn't even around then, unless I was stealing CDs)

It did teach me discipline and made me the person I am today.
However, my parents did it to teach me.. and they hated doing it.
That Texan Judge absolutely LOVED hitting that kid, you hear it in his voice and in his eyes.
I think it's wrong it happened, but there's no sense in crying about what would have been.
The only thing we can do is to try to encourage speaking up against abuse in the future.

@ JADE Thats exactly how i feel. Its funny when i was a kid and got whoopings i used to say when i got my own kids that im not gonna beat them. now if my child does some thing they know they should not be doing the hammer is coming down. Maybe if parents today grew some ballz the world might be a little bit better

Bottom line is, people are bastards. Why do we expect them to be able to raise kids who aren't bastards themselves?
