Tremor or Cyber Smoke?

A whole new character that will be completly new in design and look, with an elemental power that has great opportunities for things we haven't seen yet in terms of specials, and will be his own character and not based on someone already in the game.

Or a predictable looking grey predator with minimal visual changes, a set of close, far, long bomb tosses, a teleport, turn invisible and some sort of ranged attack like all the other cyborgs and probably fight just like a smoke/Cyktor fusion?

Idk, tough choice.

I've wanted Tremor as DLC for longer than I've wanted Rain as DLC.
Originally, I thought Rain would be on the MAIN roster, so I didn't even consider him as DLC, until it was revealed that he WASN'T in. :-(

Tremor, on the other hand I knew wouldn't be in the game, due to this roster comprising of the MK 1 thru UMK 3 characters.
I always wanted to see Tremor as an additional BONUS / DLC character in MK 9, and see what NRS would do with him.

Since Tremor has NEVER been in an MK fighting game, he would be a cool character to work on because NRS could be original with him, and the possibilities are endless.
 
I vote tremor because he would have a very unique move list, and he's way cooler than cyber smoke - he's a douche, not really but I'd rather have 1 new character in mk9
 
Im surprised that Tremor is in this moment the most requested DLC character now that Rain is coming in 6 days.

If you sift through some of the older threads, you'll see that I've wanted Tremor since WAY back.

People back then thought that it was retarded to have Tremor in MK 9.
It's funny how people's opinions change when the majority vote is in favor.

but tell the truth people, would you have rather had Tremor replace Skarlett? I really want to know because skarlett doesnt seem to have as many fans as I thought.

I always wanted Tremor too.

Also I though Rain was going to be announced, when Boon said they were going to announce a new character in G4 and he gave Rain hints and then he ended up announcing Kabal, I was very dissapointed, in that moment I couldnt care less about Kabal.
 
Honestly the demand for Tremor isn't surprising.

There were people that have been asking for Tremor since the rumor of his possible inclusion in Trilogy. It has only increased since then. Such as people wanting him to be in Armageddon.

I do think that his demand is just more noticeable now that Rain has been confirmed. I will say that I am surprised that Chameleon's demand hasn't become the most dominant since the confirmation of Rain. Then again that may be because of Boon outright saying no to Chameleon.

I know I'm probably going to get -Repped of flammed for this, but ........ I would have rather had Tremor as DLC over Skarlet AND Kenshi.

I always liked the thought of a Black Dragon ninja with Earth powers.

I don't care for Skarlett all that much. I like that she is an original character (somewhat), but I would have liked Tremor over Skarlett.

As for the C-Smoke or Tremor debate, as much as I love Smoke, I'd prefer Tremor in the game. The stuff NRS can do with the character is impressive since we know some things about Tremor but not so much that we can say that some of the stuff they'll have him do is out of character.
 
As a character I could careless for Skarlet as a character because her powers, back story, and style don't interest me that much. Having said that I like her as a fighter, she feels like ermac with popups. Kenshi I didn't care for much when he first showed up, the only thing that interested me about him back in the day was the telekinetic punches and throws. And when I got his DLC turns out he's terrible. Just so many specials that seem to do the same thing and his combo's are very sloppy and difficult with little pay off (To me at least).

So I think it's silly to say ____ > _____ when we won't even know how tremor would play, (or rain for that matter)

But if you walked up to me and said Hey they are making these four. Which would you want first?

Rain, Tremor, Skarlet, and Kenshi and Cyber smoke would just be extra...

I forgot my point. (At least I'm willing to admit it!, it seems like halfway through like 1/4th of the posts on here they loose all momentum and drop their point :P) So yeah. I want tremor and not cyber smoke? But I'd perfer more diverse DLC, I'd like if it was random what the dlc was, not 'we are going to do characters, THEN costumes, THEN this, THEN that.' And fear that the DLC will stop (Which is my current concern, Ed's tweets about DLC aren't giving me much hope that they will continue making more of anything after the 4th guy) (Yes I can tell I forgot my point a 2nd time and went on a tangent.)

Edit: I remembered my one of my points, Tremor > Skarlet. She was just a glitch and they made up her powers and story on the spot, Tremor already exists as a character, He just doesn't exist as a fighter.
 
Im a different point of view. I absolutely love Skarlet. I am glad she was the first of the DLC and I got the one I really wanted out of the way. I hate Kenshi. He is the most annoying person to fight. Im indifferent about Rain. Looks cool but I wouldnt use him over half the roster and I would over the other half. I also wanted Khameleon seeing as she has only been released on Nintendo systems and this one is not on the Wii so I could finally enjoy her. Chameleon would have been cool too but Boon already discounted him. Cyber Smoke is absolutely worthless in my eyes. I dont care if he was originally a robot, he isnt now. The story has changed, its done. His moves were all someone else's moves anyhow. Nothing new is brought to the table. As far as his fatality, I dont use fatalities other than trying to raise my mastery numbers. I would certainly welcome Tremor if he was made into a person of his own. There is a ton of untapped potential for him. Bring it on!
