Toy's R Us leaks release date of character DLC as this Wednesday? - Updated: NO

I saw this, this morning as well. If it is there on Wednesday, yay. If not oh well, I'll wait and see, than go from there.

I agree regarding Tremor, there are more than enough ninja in this game and he has never been playable so it's not like they're screwing any fans over if he's not in it. Even more true if Rain is released, as he should be.

I'll agree with EHC that earth-based moves would be pretty sweet, though. Maybe NRS should create a new character (gasp!).
 
I have a friend who wants a character that can control Earth. he sent me like a paragraph message explaining what he would be like. Now that I know there IS one in Tremor, I hope they release him as DLC.
 
a new character would be the way to go. even if it sucked, at least they would have tried

and imo tremor wasnt that cool. just a slightly buffer brown scorpion who could basically do a ground pound. oh and he shot fire balls. idk why i even bothered with that game

for those worried about the PSN store still being down, it may not be an issue.

Mortal Kombat is one of the few games that have a Download DLC tab in the main menu of the game that links to the DLC items stored on the PSN store directly. If the entire store is taken offline than obviously we won't be able to download. If, however, it is still online just unable to be accessed via the front door then the direct links from the tab in the game menu will work.

just throwing it out there. many times in the past when the PS store was inaccessible via the front door we were still able to download Rockband DLC from the tab on the main menu. The entrance to the store was down but we were still able to buy DLC via the direct links from the game.

Really, I can't see it being $5 or more. Ed Boon did say he wanted the DLC to be very cheap and charging $5 per character isn't exactly cheap. That's what Marvel vs. Capcom 3 did and I seen some complaints about that. I'm thinking maybe $2 or $3 at most.

I still want to know how rated M games got into a store meant for teenagers and below?

OT: I think Tremor may get annoying if his moves involve hitting the ground.

I feel bad for the people that are buying these DLC costumes on Ebay for 40 bucks.

The other issue with MvC3 was when the DLC characters were announced they were not announced as DLC at the time. Also already due to sales they have denied to comment on future DLC which could be due to Marvel.

So you can see why fans were pissed as the 2 DLC characters were not originally announced as DLC.
