The return of the dead hero characters

True, I honestly just want to see some of our ps2/ Xbox generation characters redeemed. They did so good with Kenshi in mk9

Oh yes, they can redeem so many characters, oh so many we're just awful. I would love to see them redeem a handful of them this game!
but I also want to forgot about some completely, some that should never be mentioned again. Nightmares!

Despite how awful I thought the 3D era games were, I can see many of the characters making a comeback. The majority sucked, imo, but there were some good ones hidden in the wreckage.
Reiko, Tanya, Fujin, Mavado, Drahmin, Li Mei, Havik, Dairou and even Kobra all have a lot of potential I think. Kobra less so, but I can see them doing some cool things with him if they really wanted to... Which I doubt will ever happen. lol

But seriously, Drahmin, Dairou... Kobra!? I... I just can't. Even Mavado and Li Mei can be relegated to our appropriately low rez memories of them for all I care. Their fans must have more creative imaginations than I do.
To be fair, maybe a new gen story arc could do them justice, but with their presentation in the 3D era games I feel like Midway gave me no reason to give a sh!t about them.
Mavado: a feeble attempt at giving the Red Dragon some weight in the plot by throwing out another rushed Kano clone. But look, he's got a grapple move! Huh, kinda like Scorpion.
Li Mei: Malibu Kitana, but she's got a new hat!

I was just on youtube watching some MK
fatalities and Kira's appeared.I know chances are low, but I wouldn't actually mind seeing her appear on the roster or as a DLC character someday..Lol

A characters I wouldn't mind seeing return. I don't think he was a Kano clone. If I remember correctly, he didn't have the cannonball move, nor did have an eyelaser (shout out to Jarek for swagger jacking). I thought he had loads of potential, considering he was part of the Red Dragon and had that hooksword feud going on with Kabal. It was cool to me and I enjoyed using him the few times I did. With the Red Dragon not being one of the online factions you can choose, however, I'd assume he won't be in due to Kano probably killing him in the comics. Or, they could go a really interesting route and have him betray the Red Dragon to join the Black Dragon, after realizing how powerful they are becoming. Makes sense, yeah?Li Mei, though, can stay out of everything. I always thought she was lame as hell. Her moves were generic and she looked like she belonged in DnD, not Mortal Kombat. She was just overall a really goofy character, in my opinion. I did, however, see a mod where someone on YouTube gave her an outfit that looked like something Mileena would wear, veil and all. It was supposed to be a Mileena mod, now that I think about it. Damn, I wish I knew how to do that sort of thing!
I'd like to see Khameleon come back so she can be fleshed out and add to the female roster even further!

I would like to see only some back, not all, as new and 3d era character deserve a chance to shine as well. I don't want to play MK9 2.0.

Do you consider Tekken 6 to be Tekken 5 version 2.0? Or Tekken 2 to be Tekken 1 And A Half?

Those game's didn't kill off most of the roster and they actually have added a ton of new characters over time and dead characters typically stay'd dead.

Then why did Kazuya, whose death was supposed to be a major event (especially since he's been both the main hero AND the main villain), end up cheating death after only one game?

And guess what? MK is not alone in fighting game characters cheating death. Street Fighter is doing the same damn thing. Vega/Bison (TWICE), Gouken, and now Charlie Nash...and didn't Rose also cheat death? I heard her body was once used as a vessel for Vega/Bison.

I've always said that a character shouldn't be prevented to return on the roster of any future game due to story reasons. The story can always be changed to fit the game, however, if the developers wanted to, they could write the character out of the game... Kinda like what NRS has done to Hsu Hao.
