Honestly that's what I am starting to think, instead of making MKX a revamped MK4 with new characters and tweaks it very well could be he is betrayed. Quan Chi is Betraying everyone now I'm surprised anyone trust him good or bad.
 
Am I the only one who finds this "newbie replacing oldie" extremely dull? Like... why can't they just create new characters that stand out for their own like Kotal and D'Vorah? This is why characters like Jarek, Kira or Cyber Sub-Zero sucked: the moment you use the gimmick of ripping off other characters' moves (who happen not to be in the game) just for the sake of creating a "NEW" character, it really doesn't feel refreshing at all... I'm tired of these copycats.

Takeda replacing Kenshin for NO REASON and having telekinesis for NO REASON other than "replacing" just bothers me.
 
Im so pissed off about Tanya for not revealing her this is so iritatting, she missed MK9 as DLC because of that idiot Skarlet now if she's gonna miss it again im gonna hate this 2d junk even more then i already too. I just want to see her in story, on EVO tournaments, her variations etc.

Well the reason for Takeda would be that he's Kenshi's son. So there is something there.

Also, I doubt they have identical moves or anything. They probably just use "the new" as a description of a character they are kinda similar too from the past.

Or it's all horsespit.

how can u say if its true than thats it for returning chsracters? I think is the other way around that its a wrap for those 3 , cassie is the best of both its pointless to have her parents in the game.
and I only wanted liu kang if he was the final boss. but since we know who it is than its safe to say boot# 3 is kung jin. thats great news.

I agree, I feel exactly the same, they could create new characters out of scratch instead of descendants and come up with a story to link them with older characters and to justify why they fight for earthrealm or outworld etc. it also bothers me to see retarded names such as erron black and jacqui -.- Imma wait to see all of the new characters in this game in the final product to be a better judge but I really feel like they would benefit (along with us the fans) if they created a place for people to send their ideas of characters, stages and so on with either art or text or any means really, they could take the best ideas and throw them into the game for new characters that fit the MK universe
 
I sincerely hope Ermac gets revealed next as a PLAYABLE CHARACTER during the live stream, so it renders all this time and energy going into pages and pages of speculating about potentially false rumours as completely wasted.

I think it's becoming increasingly obvious the Neatherealm invasion isn't the main story (possibly just a third?) and that who becomes ruler of Outworld is most of the meat here.

U missed Queen Of Darkness Tanya, Salazar, Nitara, Li Mei, Jade, Sindel.
 
Ermac makes no sense to me as the main villain. You guys are pushing this idea hard simply because of some nameless poster on 4Chan. Prior to this "leak," none of you would have even thought of Ermac as being the last on the ladder. Sub-Zero and Stryker both defeated Ermac in the previous game so I guess they are among the strongest, too, right? You can make the argument about King Jerrod being one of the souls inside Ermac all you want but that doesn't mean he's the strongest, nor does it mean he'd have a claim to the Outworld throne. Ermac is composed of multiple souls, not just one, so one being powerful enough to control an entire body is silly.

PS~ Are we really ranking Ermac, in terms of power, among the likes of Shao Kahn, Raiden, Quan Chi, and Shang Tsung?

What we were told is that there would be "more new characters than ever before. The current record is 11 in MKDA. there are 24 slots on the select screen, so according to mathematics, there is a maximum of 12 returning on the main roster.

Ermac (hinted at)
Liu Kang (claimed by same source who leaked Kano)
Johnny Cage (claimed by same source who leaked Kano)

There's your 12 returning. Goro is DLC, which is a separate category.

A son having the same moves of his father is just too cliché. Again, they could just easily make Takeda original without ripping his father's original moves. Besides, Kenshi has telekinesis because Ermac taught him and he's a blindswordsman guided by his ancertors' senses. There's a cool background there for why Kenshi is KENSHI.

Takeda having all that for the sake of being "Kenshi's son" is lazy.

Pure and simply LAZY.

But yah, I'll wait and see...

He defeated Sonya, Jax, Kung Lao, Kitana, and Johnny Cage by himself in his Deception ending, which seemingly is canon (I think?) did they ever 100% resolve how those 5 became normal again). He ripped of Jax's arms because F it, why not? Ermac is a sleeping giant of immense power who just had his shackles taken off.

Agreed. The one thing that bothers me when it comes to MKX & the comic, so far, is the over-reliance on family members/descendants of past fighters. Cassie Cage? A mix between Cage & Sonya? Ehh…not very appealing to me. I'd rather just have a repackaged and improved Johnny Cage and Sonya. Jacqui? What is that? A female version of Jax? When has that ever worked before? Takeda? Kenshi's son….ok. It's making new characters just for the sake of having new characters. I doubt NRS will stop there. I'm sure they'll be more of this as we get closer to the release date.

That was my biggest concern at the end of 9. You replay 1-3, of the course the main plot never changes stop Shao Khan from evading earth. Along the way Character A does this instead of B, etc.... Then seeing Shinnok at the end, and I'm like WTF are we going to do the same thing with 4 and so on????
