Its funny how tournies do that. I pretty much substituted Sindel for CSZ since the last one. I know I need more than Baraka and CSZ though, which is why I've started toying with Freddy and I'm still thinking of Rain or maybe even Kenshi.
 
These tournaments are going a long way in helping everybody improve I think. Quality matches across the board, even the 3-0 matches seemed competitive.

Also just want to say thanks to Flagg again for really keeping this thing going.

I know sometimes I get a bit grouchy and moan but us Brits love a good moan and even though running this can be frustrating at times, deep down I secretly love it.

This has been the 2nd tournie and while there has been some hickups it would be nice to get a monthly thing going. In regards to ppl not showing, next time we'll get time zones as I don't want to have to DQ anyone.

Be great to see you all come back, and even bring a friend next time. The more the merrier I say.

We could even do something like teams next time, like Team: EU, Team: Canada, Team: USA and if there are loads of yanks we could have like Team: Texas, Team: Midwest and so on. A Round Robin tournie could be used for this with a point system. Team with the most points at the end, wins! A Double Round Robin could be done over a 2 or 3 week period. It would represent skill more than luck, it means no1 goes home early and no one can be DQ'd. If you don't play other team members twice within the time period then you lose out on points. Due to time zones and stuff I really think this could work and be hella fun and competitive at the same time.

Matches are done. We had some horrible lag the first match which Squirrel won. Match 2 was so laggy it disconnected. Rest the xbox and we both agreed to restart the whole thing. The router was just overloaded with things hogging the internet so I disconnected everything but the xbox. 3-1 my way is the final score. GG's Squirrel, learned a thing or two from your smoke. Team Austin will need to get some matches in soon.

Tomes and I tried to play, couldn't even get a game in. I think my disc is screwed up. He was polite enough to play me tomorrow. We will try to do it early to allow for the grand finals.

Well this should be all wrapped up by today! It's been an awesome tournie, and when Treadmill is feeling up to it im sure he'll upload some more videos for the video archive section.

Got a few nice ideas for Region Team Battles for the next tournie. If it was done on a points system, and individual players got points for their team, then smaller teams wouldn't necessarily have a disadvantage as they could still get the same points as the bigger team. A bigger team of course would have more diversity. Doing something like this means people cant get DQ'd, and it'd be more flexible if say, each team tried to face something like, 2 or 3 teams a week, maybe over a 2 or 3 week period, in a lobby room.

Most points = winners take all.

Just a reminder for Tama Tones or Treadmill for tonight:

I have to get 4 wins, however since grand championship is 2 matches, if you get 4 wins before I do, both our counters reset because its a new match.

lol, yeah man when I saw you pick Lao I was like "O'rly??? Ok, I can do that". Just needed to understand how you played him and once I got smashed I said "ok, got it" haha. I was definitely ready to pick my secondary if that failed, but i'm glad it didn't :D Great games homie. Very fun and intense. We should exchange our smokeology notes sometime to improve even more!

Yeah sucks that we weren't able to play. The crappy thing is I don't know if it's a connection issue between us or if it's your disk as you mentioned. I've never had problems connecting to anyone. I'm hoping it's the disk or else I'm clueless as where we should go next? Any suggestions Flagg? I'd hate to have to flip a coin, but damn if we can't connect I don't know how to proceed. By the way I should be home by 3pm CST or 4pm EST for you to get the games in Tread. Just FYI.

Yes, Its the same thing. Just realize that its 2 matches though. When you eliminate me once its a different match.

Also, to troubleshoot with your guys' connections. What is your NAT?

Hmm.. If the two of you can be in a party together you should be able to connect. If one person's NAT is open you are most likely able to connect to anyone without any real issues. However, networking and security is tons of fun so we will see.
