Super-groups You'd Like To See (but probably won't happen)

So as I was driving around today, I got to thinking. "What would be the greatest supergroup of all time?" Then I thought, "Maybe I should let TRMK weigh in on this as well." So here is the Supergroup that you'd love to see, but probably won't happen thread.

"But RIP, what is a super-group?"

I'm glad you asked, Timmy. Super-groups could be in all shapes and sizes, but are traditionally 4-5 people in size. It is composed of a drummer, bassist, vocalist, and guitarist primarily, with the fifth slot taken over by either a second guitarist or a keyboardist. But don't let the restrictions discourage you though; let the creativity flow! But don't just post a band claiming that's a super-group; that's just no fun.

My group
Lead guitar: Dimebag Darrell (Pantera)
Rhythm guitar: James Hetfield (Metallica)
Bass: Steve Harris (Iron Maiden)
Vocals: Freddie Mercury (Queen)
Drums: Neil Peart (Rush)
Keyboardist (can replace Rhythm guitar if need be): Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater)

Depends on what genre really.

For a sweet Funk Rock Kickass super group I'd go for,

Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar - Neil Fallon (Clutch)
Lead Guitar - Josh Homme (QOTSA, EODM)
Bass - Les Claypool (Primus)
Drums - Joey Castillo (QOTSA)

That'd be sweeeeeeeet :)

mine must include
Ronnie James Dio [Dio/Black Sabbath/Rainbow]
Randy Rhodes [Ozzy Osbourne/Quiet Riot]
Bill Ward [Black Sabbath]
Geezer Butler [Black Sabbath]

vocals: layne staley
drums: keith moon
lead guitar: buckethead
rhythm guitar: bob marley
other guitars: Steve Vai or Satriani or Frank Zappa
Bass: i dunno maybe Duff-- there are lots of better bass players, but with a guitar line up like that who cares...

Vocals (female): Simone Simons
Vocals (male): Burton C. Bell
Lead guitar: Jon Levasseur
Lead guitar 2 ('cause who the **** needs a guitarist who can't play leads?): Andreas Kisser
Drums: Flo Mounier

Yeah, two guys from Cryptopsy. Not my fault they managed to have the best DM drummer and guitarist ever.

Oh, plus I need some sort of orchestra backing them. No idea where to go for naming those guys, though, so just any random professional orchestra will do. I'm also more or less indifferent to bass playing, so I don't see a point in picking a bassist just to pick one.

Lead Guitar: Stevie Ray Vaughn
Rhythm Guitar: Dave Mustaine (Megadeth)
Bassist: Geddy Lee (Rush)
Drums: Battle to the death between Dave Lombardo, Keith Moon, and Neil Peart (Slayer, The Who, Rush)
Vocals: Freddy Mercury or Paul McCartney (Queen, The Beatles)

BEST METAL BAND EVER.

That's a pretty good lineup, but I'd have Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater) as the Drummer, no doubt. With Freddy, Paul couldn't handle that shit!

Vocals: Gary Glitter
Guitar: Pete Townsend (The Who)
Bass : Bill Wyman (Rolling Stones)
Drums: Dave Holland (ex judas priest look him up if you dont know)
