Street Fighter X Tekken

Wow, those alts are sickkkk!!! I'm loving the 3rd Strike love too for some of the alts too.
Dud's costume alt is awesome, fits him for some weird reason
Elena's costume alt makes me wanna lick my screen....
Kuma's costume alt is just adorable
Kinda disappointed w/ Paul's though :(
The Sagat one literally made me lol

All in all I'm really looking forward to the alts! I'd rather have these than the swap costumes to be honest lol. Thanks for the link Kzaoo.

You're welcome.

The Sagat speedos make no sense whatsoever, but the most WTF alt is Xiaoyu's imo. I know she has weird outfits in Tekken but seriously?

I'm pissed off about the Sakura ALTS....

The just reskined her School girl outfit the fit the Tekken School girl outfits

It's makes her look like a mini-Christmas tree lol. I think the most WTF alt is Raven's; I don't even understand.... I look at it and think Tron...

I'm so disappointed at Paul's, like really disappointed lol. That Juri alt makes fighting her even funner now...

I still think the most disturbing costume period is Akuma's Heihachi swap costume. That thing should be burned with holy water and fire.

Really don't know what they were thinking. It was a cheap way to make Akuma 100x more creepy.

We need to play again soon. Do you use pad or stick?

Cool, I'm down whenever you wanna play. I use pad, but I really wanna learn to use stick; I just gotta get some money together to buy a decent-priced one so I can learn. Any suggestions?

Which ones do you use? Also, if I bought that Hori stick, could I mod it to work on the 360 as well?

I use these:
http://www.amazon.com/Qanba-Q4-Q4RA..._2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1338789656&sr=1-2
http://www.amazon.com/HORI-Soulcali...R982/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1338789615&sr=8-6
http://www.amazon.com/Real-Arcade-P...GD44/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1338789615&sr=8-5

(I didn't pay that much for the Qanba, I got it somewhere else)

You can duak mod it, no idea how to. I'm not sure how much that'd cost, either.

Alrighty then, guess I gotta do some more research; hopefully it isn't too expensive. Thanks for the help. One more question (I promise lol). How long did it take you to get used to stick? Or have you always been using stick?

I've always used stick because my Dad played fighting games. It took my friend about 2 weeks to get used to his stick, it takes a bit of practice but after you learn it it feels pretty good, that is what he told me. I can use pad, too.

Ok then, I've got some saving up to do. Hopefully I can find one that's compatible for all systems. When I go back to college, theres a chance that we might have tournaments, so I'm hoping that if everything goes right I can get a stick by late June-early July; that way I can really test how far I've progressed with the stick come tourney time. Thanks again for all your help Kzaoo :)

Eightarc have sticks that are compatible with both consoles and they're about the same price as any other premium stick (the more exopensive ones) They are VERY good quality, last long and have sawna parts.

Just beat Ryu's trials.
They're easier than they look, took me about 20 minutes and I think theres only one 1f link (which is unplinkable) however everything is easier than it looks. The trick to beat the later trials is to buffer all of your shoryukens.

I picked up SFxT yesterday and I'm sorry guys but I can't stand this game. My sheer frustration of it just COMPLETELY prevents me from playing it, even on the first night I got it.

I literally got home, did a run of arcade, played a tiny bit online, then with Havok, then online again and I said "**** this." I played Tekken 6 for the rest of the night.

I feel like every single assface in the SF community decided to pick this game up and play it. I have found only about 3 entertaining matches and by entertaining, I don't mean that I won. All I've seen so far, plaguing online are:

-Turtles

-Dickfaces that zone the entire time and win by time outs

-Ken+Ryu teams

-Jump fests

The only matches I've enjoyed were the ones against Havok and the 3 I mentioned. Shit, I enjoy playing SSF4 more than this bullcrap. And with all this rage-inducing shit that I have to deal with I'm not motivated AT ALL to learn the game. I won't be selling it but I'm sure as hell not playing this as much as I played all my other fighters. Screw this game. For real. I want Tekken x Street Fighter already.

This is out of Day 1 of gameplay though... :|

You can't let one messed up day ruin your SFxT career, everything you listed.. There are ways around them

Overheads breaks low blocking defenses, and locking them down with projectiles forces them to come at you.

Ryu and Ken.. Just read a match up guide over them to use *Insert Characters here* Tools to your advantage, I know you would rather learn yourself, but if I was in that situation I would read a guide.

For people who jump, punish them with a Air normal that doesn't trade and has priority to start a combo of your own. Plus almost every character has an Anti Air for a reason.

I hate to say this, but most of the time you complain about a game.. it's usually because you have barely any experience or very bias..

Not trying to be a dick man :[

When I first got Tekken 6 and got online I had no intention of learning the game.

I used Bryan Fury online and my biggest move was forward, forward, Y. I got my ass whooped multiple times because I did not know a single combo yet I had a ton of fun and never got annoyed.

SFxT? No. I don't mind losing at all. Havok whooped me and I just smiled because his playstyle was entertaining. He didn't crouch block 99% of the match. He didn't zone the shit out of me. And NONE of our matches were won by time over.

I don't give two shits about winning. I'm not going to try and get good at a game just to counter the same crap every match. I enjoy playing, not winning. Why do you think I said to you like a week earlier that I wasn't going to take the game hardcore like I did with MK and Tekken 6? I never took SSF4 hardcore because I didn't enjoy the mechanics. The mechanics of this game are more fun although Gems are probably one of the dumbest features a fighting game could come up with.

The people online are crap. I'm not going to try and beat them because I'm looking for entertaining matches, not games of cat and mouse or exchanging hadokens.

Tired of this shit. Sick, and tired.

It's not all about winning, and I never said you would care about winning. Experience and winning are two different things.

You have a casual mindset towards the game and that's why it's so frustrating, you're hoping that everyone is going to play differently but they're not.. They want the win and will do anything for it.

You can't say you don't like the mechanics if you can't explain to me what links, Frame traps, Option selects, Mix-ups Etc.. It's just the style of play turns you off, not the Mechanics themselves.

It's a fighter bro.. Entertainment < Competition/ Competitiveness. People want wins, not your approval.

Edit: Wanna play some MK? :]

It sucks to hear that Shiri, but I agree with iVital, don't let one bad night of SFxT online ruin the game for you. SFxT is by no means perfect and there are many characters that have a severe advantage over other characters; online players won't hesitate to use that to their advantage. Heck, I remember the second week I was playing, I faced 9 straight players using Ryu/Ken teams that all had over 1,000 BP and I lost all 10; cross up tatsus all day errry day lol; then I ended up losing 5 more after that mostly b/c of bad connection  One of the Ryu/Ken players even sent me a certain message that kinda ticked me off...

I'd recommend that you just play the game a little more and get used to the mechanics (like iVital said) before you take it online again.

If you have any questions or need any help, I'm sure all of us here will try to help ya the best we can. :)
