Stance switch glitch with Kung Lao video (I confirmed this myself)

I went into practice mode and it's true, you will miss the spin if you do this combo in the opposite stance. Doesn't seem like something that should be deliberate, more like a glitch that needs to be patched.

How is that not a glitch? You think this is supposed to be deliberate?

This is one of those "not sure if serious" moments. I honestly have no idea whether or not that's intentional or a glitch. I want to say it's a glitch, but it would be interesting to see if the stance button actually serves a purpose.

I mean, other than for the female characters anyway. :-P

wow...this pisses me off...and appeases me at the same time...i couldn't figure out WHY i'd miss with that...frustrating! ah well, solved now!

Why are so many people blind? It is a glitch (or collision bug, call it what you want) and it needs to be fixed.

NRS already admitted openly that the stances weren't supposed to add (or remove) anything gameplay wise. They initially intended it to be part of a more complex system but in the end dropped the idea but kept the stances in. Why? Because: "Why remove them? lol xD". This is an actual quote btw. :)

I can see stance switching being used for tech though. I myself use them for feints, fake dash/jumps and multiple dash cancels.

yep, thats a glitch,
so if your fighting a kung lao player.. you can just eff with them and keep switching to the opposite stance to them?
thats really lame.

i cant believe how many issue's this game has.. after how long they spent on it.. thank god they can patch..

If you are playing with Cyrax/ Human Cyrax Ex bombs are slower then in his Cyborg Form. I don't know if this was deliberate seeing how the bombs actually look different but it's a ***** incorporating ex bombs in combos with human Cyrax. With Cyrorg Cyrax it's a breeze. Any body else notice this?

Cyborg Cyrax is superior. There are some things that are easier with the Cyborg version, and even some things that the human version can't do.

What's this glitch's name? "the stance button is there for actually be used on some situations"?

It's not a Glitch. This is just an example of the depth of the stance system in this game. They added it for some reason. Master the character, learn the links and to change your stance when he needs to and there, you have your "Glitch fix".

You guys probably noticed that every character has many of their animations made twice: once for each stance position. Now THAT'S the reason why they didn't drop the stance button. I mean, imagine they had a feature in mind with the stance, had all the animations made for each stance, then decide they can't keep that feature anymore. Why remove the stance and half of the animations if they're all done and working?

As for the stance glitch, yep, if you ask me, it's a glitch. Unless every other character as that kind of "feature" where combos connect or not, or enemies fall further after a hit depending on the stance, then it's a pretty little glitch. I don't buy the "depth of the fighting mechanic" theory. I rather buy the "depth of the character model" theory rather. :)

It's probably just the collision boxes that get to touch each other during the transition from one animation to another during the combo.
Or somehow they forgot to disable the collisions during that version of the combo.
