[SPOILER] Everything about story mode. Pics, videos, discussion, etc.

So, I've heard about some issues with faction kills. It seems the problem is that, unlike fatalities, faction kills do not specify whether they're to be done close or at range, and so if you just mash buttons in the wrong spot then nothing happens. However, if you quickly try each faction kill in the usual fatality positions then they will work.

Ideally that information could be patched in. For example, the default White Lotus faction kill is very easy to pull off, but it requires you stand towards the other side of the screen.

Yes now I found out that you have to stay on the other end of the screen.

So is there a way to perform brutalities in a 'practice' ? I have no second controller and some of them are hard to do against the CPU

And I can't find the codes for the faction kills since Smokes Revenge and Shuriken Storm. I only got the Assasin Slash which is Hold RT and f,b,f

Yes I know. I mean the locked ones. I can't find them around the Internet. Think one can pull them off like the fatalities and then they are unlocked, right?

Really enjoyed my storymode playthrough. Only a few complaints:

(1) Man, Kotal Kahn is a lot dumber in game compared to his persona in the comics. Very disappointing.

(2) D'Vorah just being another Quan Chi Puppet.

(3) Kitana, Kung Lao and Liu Kang not getting any story mode time as human. Zero closure on that front.

(4) Cassie acting like she's never been to Outworld before when she's talking about how she imagined the sky would be purple. You got kidnapped and brought to Outworld like 4 years ago! And in certain places, the sky was indeed purple...

The story mode was Cool, but I wish it would have gone with a steady flow other then jumping through time non stop. Kotal Kahn was incredibly dumb, and it seems like the comics didn't really set up anything for the game story wise. How is there no mention of Reiko and Havik?

Seems like the two writing teams didn't feel like comparing notes with one an other. Shame, cause there's plenty of annoying inconsistencies between the two continuities. The Osh-Tekk are wiped out in the comic universe but they're basically the bulk of Outworld's police/army force in the videogame.

How confusing...

I enjoyed the story. Thought the Cage/Cage dynamic was touching. I loved how Subby was basically the mentor this go 'round. Reptile was actually given *some* justice, even though he was on the losing end of the actual fights. Overall?

I think that the leakers did an injustice. IMO some of the story mode might have been more fulfilling if I hadn't heard about it already.

We have to remember that the comics were written AFTER the game's script was.

If we're talking about any inconsistencies here, they're mostly Kittlesen's fault.
He did a great job either way, but those are some major things that tear the comics and game apart from one another.
