Chapter 2 is KOTAL KAHN. He's in a carriage with Kano and D'Vorrah discussing an arms deal, but they are held up by a roadblock and are then ambushed by Mileena. Kano is working for her and is being hired to assassinate Kotal. Mileena does have the amulet (or at least, an amulet) and uses it to fight Kotal in a cutscene, but something happens (not sure how to describe it, basically I think she doesn't have the power to use it properly) and she ends up being water-ported away by Rain, who is referred to by Kotal as 'Son of Argus' and is acknowledged as a demi-god.

Chapter 3 is SUB-ZERO. This picks up from the cutscene in the airship in which Johnny is talking about sending the younger ones to visit the Lin Kuei temple. They sneak in and try to ambush Sub-Zero (to force him to go with them, not to kill him) and he defends himself. He's a good guy, and it turns out the fights were set up by Johnny to 'test' the younger ones. After the fights, Johnny whistles and appears on the steps of the temple, suggesting he may have been there all along.

The Asian girl from the story mode trailer is indeed Li Mei; she turns up as a refugee from Outworld, caught up in civil war. She is one of about 5000 people who escape to Earthrealm through a portal (the one on the Refugee Kamp stage) and she's being questioned by the SF people. Sonya is the leader of the SF faction, but it seems the SF, LK and Shaolin will all work together when in grave danger. Takeda speaks normally to others, but can speak telepathically with Kenshi.

At the beginning of the next chapter (I didn't see who, but probably Kung Jin) the stream died for a while. It's back on now but I can't link it here. You know what to search for, though. I'll carry on when he gets back to where he was before.
