For me, reading the story is like being told Vader is Luke's father while I'm in line to see Empire.

Yep, I'm proud of myself for not reading anything to do with the story. Accidentally saw a few things that I'm trying to block out of my mind, but nothing major.

Me too! I think going to bed will help me block it out better. Its past 4:00am here on the east coast of USA! Off to bed.
 
What is this? "Mileena and the Mortal Kombatians?", the game is called Mortal Kombat.
No motaro?, well maybe is DLC.
I hope to see in the future DLC packs called mk4pack incluiding 2 characters from mk4 and 2 arenas, same with deadly alliance pack and armageddon pack.

ok so from what boon said, I can just say I agree it might be insanely difficult, but the best prize we could ask for? really? a freaking COSTUME? I was hyped to do and finish the challenge tower with no coins or whatever but after this I'll probably just do it for the fun of it rather than the 'huge' prize -.- :P

Guys relax, it's called....."Trap & Bait". Come on, do you really think that Ed Boon & Co. would put all that hard work and time into such an important(no, THE most important)game that could make or break the possibilities of any more MK games to be created in the future. NRS purposely placed those those files there and made sure that accessing them would only take very little effort because they already knew that a fan(s) like you would just have to know what the "big prize" was.
Well, I don't believe it, nor am I gonna fall for this "Trap & Bait" trick. Hey, you guys can believe whatever the hell you want, but MK's history as far as secrecy is concerned teaches me that this info. is clearly a phony.

Don't jump to any conclusions about certain boss characters being excluded quite yet. I've heard that there are a few easter eggs in the game hinting at inclusions of certain bosses in some form. Of course this could also be Boon messing with us.

Is there anything that actually says that this is the endgame? I haven't been reading all of these topics because I don't want everything spoiled. The Achievement leak from last week had an Achievement called "Best Outfit Ever," I think this leak might be related to that and not the real endgame challenge. I think this might be the set up for the story mode and not the endgame challenge?

It looks to confirm it to me on the second post here sadly sigh. But I still hold on to some hope that the ultimate prize comes from clearing all the challenges without buying your way past any of them.

Edit: Well from the Mileena Vignette, that flesh pit illustration is pretty kool.
