We've got the spoilers for it, but here's the preview pages for Chapter 15 if anyone wants to read them.

Ferra riding Torr riding a dinosaur... hilarious.

What's up with those archers standing next to Johnny's sniper team? They look Osh-Tekk, and Kotal just got done telling us that the Osh-Tekks were wiped out.

I was wondering if he was being hyperbolic about the degree to which Osh-Tekks have been genocided, I guess this is proof that he was?

Yeah, the mobile game also calls Kotal's troops Osh-Tekks. I have to assume Kotal was being a bit overdramatic.

What did you expect from a guy that paints himself blue every day?

He's a drama queen.

Kintaro was like, " we don't want your Charity"
*His face also reminds me of Panthro from Thundercats lol

Sonya calls Mister Cage "Johnny" again
*Seems like she only does that when the situation doesn't look to good for him lol

This Sub Zero vs Scorpion fight im really confused on. Are they actually EQUALS in terms of skills. Cause it always seems to be an excuse why they were defeated/lost in their matches.
*Sub Zero (Kuai Liang) defeated him in MK9 but was interrupted by Cyber Lin Kuei (so indecisive)
*Scorpion defeats Sub Zero in this comic issue but says he wasn't 100% during the fight

IMO I think Scorpion and Sub Zero have one of the best rivalries, but also the most boring ones. Bc it always goes back to what it was. I really hope with this next generation of fighters and stories that those two (story creators) can make these Iconic Characters story take a leap and at the very least a step forward.

I've just read the last issue.
So the next one will be called "Sub-Zero: Sekret Origins".
Cool! We'll see some of Kuai Liang and Bi-Han!
So impatient to read it!

So according to this Kittelsen interview, we won't be getting a tournament in these first 36 chapters, but if the book does get a second "season", Kittelsen would like to do one as the big arc.

So if I understand this correctly, if the comic doesn't get renewed (a legitimate possibility), there is absolutely no plan to provide any closure at all on Havik and Reiko?

That's kind of... not fantastic.

To put things in perspective, we have 15 chapters so far. We're not even halfway through season 1. And the tournament thing won't get any continuation until season 2. So that's longer than the entire comic has been going so far.

Even if the comic gets picked up again, I have to wonder at how Kittelsen will play down the urgency of the Reiko/Havik stuff without making it seem like he just forgot about them, or completely overplayed the stakes.

That's not it. He's not saying the season 2 tournament is going to be what Havik and Reiko are doing, it's a separate thing; it's already been said season 1 is going to be a story all on its own and one that leads into the game, it's not going to end on a cliffhanger with the Kamidogu, Havik, and Reiko plotlines still unresolved. He's just saying there's not going to be another tournament on Shang Tsung's island, but his idea for season 2 does revolve around a brand new one.

Do the earlier statements hold such weight, though, in the context of what Kittelsen is saying now? He's admitting that the plans for the Reiko/Havik story have changed. Couldn't the degree of season 1's cliffhangeriness have changed along with them?

I mean, we know what the game's story is now, and it's not like there's some crucial connections that he absolutely must establish between the comic and MKX, you know? There's nothing in the game's story that needs set up, except the Sub-Zero stuff (which is coming very, very soon) and maybe Scorpion/Kenshi, but I have my doubts. So I don't see what, if anything, would hold Kittelsen back from doing whatever he wants at this point.

I hope I'm making myself clear enough. It's a murky business.

I don't think they'd change the plans so much so that the story ends on a cliffhanger, especially when Kittelsen talked about it being a self-contained story not that long ago. He only says he considered doing a tournament at one point, but just decided to do a big war instead. Plans wouldn't have changed that massively in so short a time.

Not wanting to give people an incomplete story that may or may not get an actual ending is holding back Kittelsen pretty strongly also, I imagine. Even if the game is out now, I don't think he'd just suddenly throw everything out the window, NRS and editorial are still there.

OMG! I can't believe i can't recall who the hell says "Rrrrrrrrrrrumble!" :(
I could use some memory refresher guys, if you please help me.

I really enjoy every time a comic comes out, hope they continue :). And about Sub-Zero's Origin, i thought it would comprise the pre-MK1 story, i guess it'll touch only on the "Sub-Zero getting rid of the cyborg issue", but still interesting :D

Wait we're on Chapter 18 already? I thought the last issue that just came out was Chapter 15?

Descriptions for upcoming chapters are released a couple of weeks in advance. Chapter 16 is still the next one, and we should be getting the preview for that soon.
