It's possible. His MK9 bio mentions that he's of the "Lower class Tigrar lineage". Maybe Gorbak treats his people like shit the same way Kotal treated Goro like shit.
 
Johnny Cage is the champ of the tournament organised by Havik. It's a safe bet now that Havik tells Cassie too much and they use it against him to take him out. Reiko is probably also sure as dead. Many questions about the Shokan, why are they so much involved? Will Goro take revenge for Kotal killing Kintaro and Gorbak, hence 'Goro lives'?

Oh hey, didn't I get called out on making those claims? Haha, just messing with ya, but now you can see how apparent it is to predict Reiko's death.
 
You know who this comic needs? This comic needs Grum. Goro was shown to be a chump. Kintaro was shown to be a chump. Maybe they should give Grum a chance.
 
Guys i just read that reiko will be alive till comic 7 that means 6 chapters after the game is released so this gives him a big chance of being in the game

The time period of the comic is still before the 25 year mark. The story perspective just jumps away from Reiko's dealings until print issue 7.

True, but for the sake of not undermining the comics I imagine that the only flashbacks to the 15 year mark that'll be there will be Scorpion training Takeda, Cassie sparring with Jacqui, and so on.

I wouldn't see it as undermining.
In fact, I think it would be an honor for the comic writer if NRS made some (not all, just a few) of their comic panels into in-game cinematics as part of the MKX game story.

That wouldn't really be possible, the game script was already written before the comic came into being. Kittelsen's confirmed as much.
 
I doubt that some of the comics events arent just taken from the story mode.

Some of them seem a bit too big to not have anyone atleast MENTION in passing.

If it's not relevant to what's going on, characters don't really need to mention everything that happens. Kittelsen's said there's pretty much no overlap between scenes in the game and comic.
