As a sorcerer, one of the most powerful, it seems to be possible.

On MK4 (Baraka's ending/non canon) he did an amazing trick with Baraka where he disguised himself somehow as a dead corpse, remember.

Besides the fact that I think the Amulet has no barriers of power.
 
I have no doubts that Quan Chi can disguise as Sub-Zero but how can he use ice?

He's not a cryomancer and I don't think he can use the abilities of one.

If this comic is canon, then this little storyline makes Mythologies non canon right? So why would Quan Chi need Scorpion as an ally if he didn't need to get the amulet from Sub-Zero? This comic preview makes it look like Scorpion didn't know Quan Chi before his death. But we also have the canon game MK9 where Bi Han clearly says that isn't him in the vision of the Shirai Ryu massacre.


I'd say it's anyone's guess until we get more info. My pre-MK1 knowledge was already pretty weak. This just made it even weaker lol

Alright ya, The MKX conversations and MK9 canon are making this whole scene in the comics confusing lol

what if he mind controlled Subzero with his ability to do that, and Subzero doesn't recollect that ever happening.
 
Okay so let's get this straight. In the original timeline, Bi Han kills Hanzo at the Temple, in return, Quan Chi wipes out the Shirai Ryu for the Lin Kuei. Quan Chi also massacres Hanzo's Family and frames Bi Han for it.

As long as A. Hanzo is killed by Bi Han, B. Quan Chi is the main culprit behind Hanzo's family's death, they can retcon whatever events as long as those two factors remain in tact.
 
I'm sure Bi Han killed nobody.

In MK9 he says something like this: "It wasn't me Scorpion, he's tricking you" (Not his real words, but along those lines).

In MKX Sub-Zero (unknown identity) says in his intro something like this: "I'm tired of claiming my innocence on that matter" (Again, not his real words, I don't want to google it...)
 
For sure, as Taj said, if Bi-han killed Hanzo and Quan Chi his family and framed Sub-Zero, all good.

If the comics are explaining how Scorpion was revived, that was cool too.

I just hope they didn't change the two main things of the story.

Onaga is the only one we know who has been searching for the Kamidogu. I am pretty sure he will eventually show up in the comics or ina a future MK game. He's Onaga and he's awesome.
 
I will keep on my speculation and I'm calling it now once again.

The only one who is related to The Amulet, Kamidogu, One Being and Outworld's throne is ONAGA.

Ducking Elder God, I'll cry if it's him.
 
It would be bad shit crazy if Onaga ended up being the big bad in X ah ah ah... of course unplayable. However, if it was Onaga, NRS would never be able to keep it a secret from so many leaks.

X definately deals with the amulet and Outworld's throne (civil war). I cannot simply imagine Kotal still being the Emperor or Mileena stealing the throne at the end of the game. We shall see.
 
Cunning and guile definitely sounds like the one and only DRAGON KING. Twist: neither Kotal or Mileena get the throne, Onaga does. Taking advantage of their foolish fighting........

In the Civil War Mileena lost the Throne to Kotal. With Shang Tsung apparently dead I'm counting on Quan Chi to rule at the end of this game. He'll have contingencies to overcome any ruler that might step up.

Like on Deception? Remember when he thought he was the ruler, the real ruler appeared. Maybe the story will repeat itself.

Somewhat similar. If the story trailer is anything to go on they might skip on Shinnok by sealing him in the amulet, Onaga might stop by indeed. Which would be surprising because the fighters in this roster, although cool, seem a little underpowered against Onaga. Maybe the kamidogu can still be of use after they were used to resurrect Onaga or a regular character uses them first, becomes the big bad and Onaga is for the next MK.
