SPOILER ALERT:Mortal Kombat X DIGITAL COMIC DISCUSSION

Harpoon is the last panel the outfit you told us? It seems just a shadowed version of MK9 outfit (in fact, fire is covering our view of the yellow part, so we only see the black one).

Spoiler:

Yeah, but there's some differences in the design when you can see the full thing. It's not literally just the MK9 alt, although it is very close.

I forget, where does the comic upload first? Can someone tag me with the answer? I'm trying to avoid spoilers lol

Nevermind I found it.

Shorter summary than usual because of how much the preview showed, but here we go:

Spoiler:
After the preview, Hanzo describes how he burned Bi-Han alive even while the cryomancer proclaimed his innocence. Even after getting his vengeance, however, the hellfire stayed with Scorpion and he used it to fight yet more opponents like Liu Kang and Johnny Cage. However, things changed when Hanzo's life was restored! (he's also shown wearing a much darker-looking outfit we haven't seen yet here) Feeling guilty about all of the lives he had taken and unworthy of this second chance at life, Hanzo contemplated suicide... until a wise man told him what his hellfire really was: not rage, but the shame, pain, and loss that came from the slaughter of his family and clan. Hanzo relives that moment everytime he uses his powers, and it always risks destroying him again.

Back in the present, as Raiden's lightning bolt strikes, Hanzo is able to teleport behind the thunder god and grab Takeda, teleporting away again. In the past, Takeda asks who this wise man that helped Hanzo was, and Hanzo replies that it was none other than Takeda's father, Kenshi. In the present, as Raiden pulls Takeda's blade out of his abdomen, Hanzo teleports back into the fray in full Scorpion mode, and begins his brutal assault upon Earthrealm's crazed protector! To be continued.

Huh. Sounds like... not a lot happens. Like a lot "not a lot." Like, by far the least of any chapter yet "not a lot."

But at least it reaffirms for 100% the fact that MKX Scorpion is a new man. Awesome.

I actually get the feeling Daegon is involved. The Red Dragon have more of a presence here than Shujinko does so far. I think it might be Daegon who is searching for the daggers.
Kenshi and Sub-Zero are searching for Daegon to kill him. His name was mentioned several times already and the Red Dragon is Mileena's ally.

We know for sure barely any 3D characters are making it into X roster, however, I believe he may see Daegon in future MKs.

Raiden: "Chaos is comig to Earthrealm, and I am its-"

OMG guys is this a nod to Havik?????

I hope so but if the above sentence finishes with 'cause', I doubt it.
It could be that Raiden thinks that the Gods have different plans with Earthrealm and doesn't like it or that he starts meddling in the affairs of the Netherrealm's successors, once again changing peoples destinies. He's bound to make a few enemies more.

Raiden corrupted himself, even for a while, with the blood magick of the Kamidagger.

He is probably feeling guilty, since he is the guy that knows everything.

All we learned this time was, Scorpion is now human/alive. If he uses too much fire he could kill himself and become dead again. Raiden bought up the fact that his teleport ability comes from using Fire.

Apparently now that Scorpion is alive, his fire powers are limited a bit.

And that his fire power came from remorse/regret/guilt rather than his RAGE. But apparently to use his fire, he must use those feelings of remorse/regret/guilt and the more he exposes himself to the horror of his family and clan, the more likely it is he could fall too deep back into his RAGE.

I can't wait to see what the hell's up with Raiden. He seems fine in the game... like, not a maniacal protector of Earthrealm driven to desperate measures. But in the comic, he's kind of a lunatic.
