What are you comparing it to? I've read plenty of regular titles (e.g. Batman, X-Men, Wolverine, Spawn, Spider-man, Avengers) that were considerably worse.
 
Doesn't Rain turn into water in one of his teleport moves?

Kabal 2 doesn't even need to happen.

Does Rain control the weather? Or only rainclouds? can't tell...

You're bound to be disappointed that way, it's a franchise comic book. Things like thematic development and subtlety are anathema to them. Having read my fair share of shit comic books, I can honestly tell you that what we're dealing with is close to a best case scenario.

And anyway, it's not as though MK9 was written any better than this comic.
 
the real spoiled brats are the ones so stuck on sonyas, jaxes, kung laos and other characters that were served to them in countless games. those same brats are the very reason the series will never truly move forward. hopefully NRS will stop being so dependant on such crowds and give others their chance to shine. I'd also like to note how the same spoiled brats not only get their characters in for sure in each MK game but they are even ungrateful as well since they are like.. 'omg fix kitana's eyebrows, she looks manly again', 'omg reptile looks so shitty, GIVE ME A NEW ONE QQ QQ QQ'
 
To be honest, like most fans, I'm only reading the comic for the following reasons:

A. To see if my favourites that didn't make MKX survive for future games.
B. Get a glimpse of the story and new characters of the game.
C. Check out the outfits and re-designs of some past favourites.

Writing/Art is pretty bad and I fully expect the game to be infinitely better (considering MK9's story wasn't that great, that's saying something).
 
Those humans that call me a spoiled brat are right, i'm rich, can't help my parents earned good cash.

Anyway, i'm only wishing for characters getting more spotlight and i'm a game-spoiled brat? hate on.

I actually didn't notice Eron black wasn't around. That does make me wonder if he's really fighing for Kotal. And yes it's good to see Reptile be treated with some respect. Hopefully he'll play a deeper role in the future. Sonya just makes me mad cause she's so one dimensional and predictable. The exact reason people were tired of scorpion being a mindless, vengeful wraith is why I'm tired of her. At least Scorpion grew as a character and learned to control himself.

The original film is quite good, and MK Legacy has glimpses of very decent writing - for instance, treating Liu Kang and Kung Lao as more-or-less actual Buddhist monks. I expect MKX to be better written than Injustice in basically every way, because NRS won't be limited by using DC's flagship characters who can never experience character development ever. And Injustice was already a huge step forward from MK9 in terms of storytelling. Baby steps. :)

I don't think the likes of Scorpion, Raiden, and Sub Zero being on the chopping block is ANYTHING any fan would have to ever worry about. Lesser characters with lots of fans really DO have something to worry about. But we will never lose Scorpion again.
