SPOILER ALERT:Mortal Kombat X DIGITAL COMIC DISCUSSION

I support Tremor being in, whether ninja or not. Regardless of whether or not BBBLP's ass wants to admit it, people have been hitting up Ed Boon for Tremor's inclusion in a game for far longer than any of those subpar post-MK3 characters some posters on this board foam at the mouth for.

Don't get your panties in a bunch. I like Tremor too, but you vastly overestimate his fanbase.

Seeing Jarek and Tasia in the comic... I don't think they'll be playable. Probably just cameos.

But thing is... If they included even such an obscure character like Tasia in the comic, Tremor must be in MKX. Somewhere... Either in the comic or main roster or dlc or cameo.

Which alone makes me happy :)

I believe MK:SF belongs to canon, but i can be wrong. Some time ago I read somewhere that SF is canon and happens even before MKM:SZ. I wouldn't mind Tremor being in MKX at all, so far every character looks amazing and I have no doubts that NRS could make every other old character much better than they were in past games.

Special Forces isn't canon. It takes place before the 10th tournament (the first game) and at the end of it, Jax goes to Outworld. Which contradicts the original timeline where Jax's first time in Outworld was in MKII when he went to rescue Sonya.

Does his biography says that MKII was his FIRST trip to Outworld? I mean, I'm not sure, arguing is the last thing I want to do, I'm just wondering. Besides that "Outworld journey" in MKII I believe none of the events of MK:SF contradicts the rest of story - of course if you're right about that part.

SF is not canon due to inner things that contradicts the story. And it was so bad that they didn't considered.

Yet the characters are considered, now more than ever. Just don't know about No face and Tremor, but it's possible.

Special Forces is not canon because:

1. Jax has his metal arms when he never had them until MK3. Special Forces takes place before MK1.

2. Jax didn't know what Outworld was until MK2 when the game has the Black Dragon trying to go to Outworld

3. The game is ignore and never brought up again. Sub-Zero Mythologies is reference is more then once in the other games while SF is not.

Now, im not disagreeing it was terrible, but last i checked, his arms in the ORIGINAL timeline were something he wore.

Like the things he has on during MK9 before he gets the legit cyber ones.

Didn't he got, on the unchanged timeline, his arms replaced after having his arms ripped off? Can't remember any mention of he wearing those things.

In MK2 and first half of MK9 Jax had normal arms, then (only in MK9) Ermac rips his arms off and after that he gets metal arms.

MK3 Jax Bio:

"In failing to convince his superiors of the coming Outworld invasion, Jax covertly prepares for the future battle with Kahn's minions. He outfits both arms with indestructible bionic implants. This is a war Jax is prepared to win."

Still don't know about the info that Jax doesn't know of Outworld until MK2. On the other side, some kind of confirmation that he actually doesn't know 'bout it may be found in Midway's MK2 Comic, which is 100% canon.

One way or another, the game suck so much that it doesn't really matter (and no, in this case I didn't have to play it to say that hehe).

Well to be honest, nothing prior MK9 is canon anymore....

Everything in the old timeline is still canon. MK9 was the direct result of Armageddon, and Armageddon was the result of everything that came before it. Not to mention, Raiden received visions of all the canon events of the old timeline.

Yes, and those events stopped being canon when Raiden started messing up the new timeline. So the events that were canon before are not happening again (Smoke's automatization, Kung Lao not dying, etc.) therefore the old timeline is not canon anymore. History has overwritten itself.

This is time travel "logic" talk, it's endless lol.

That's not strictly speaking true. It's 99.9999% true in practice, but in principle, the new timeline doesn't override the previous timeline. Raiden's visions are proof of the fact that what happened in the original timeline is, and could at some point in the future once again become, important, because it has a direct effect on what happens in the new timeline.

You probably realize this and were just using a verbal (linguistic?) shortcut. I'm just stickling for da rules.

edit: nvm looks like you meant it. No, the original timeline is still entirely canon. If Motaro hadn't killed Johnny Cage, then Raiden wouldn't have saved Johnny Cage's life by killing Motaro. MK1-9 are absolutely true and have directly influenced Raiden's behavior.

Armageddon is still happening. Raiden just made sure Shao Kahn wasn't the one to reach the top of the pyramid and get Blaze's power. NRS still has a LOOOOT of cleanup work to do.

Raiden: "Elder Gods, please cancel Armageddon!"
Elder Gods: "Yeah, we didn't like that one either. OK, done."

If ONLY it were that simple lol but I guess that's what the comic's for... Oh GOD you guys don't think Daegon could be the final boss do you???
