SPOILER ALERT:Mortal Kombat X DIGITAL COMIC DISCUSSION

I didn't find Cyrax stereotypical. He was just cultural, but didn't say any stupid one liners from what I remember. With Jax, it always just seemed like a white guy was writing his dialog and thought to himself, how can I make Jax sound black? So he ended up with stupid one liners that you would hear from a teenager and not an intelligent special forces agent. Anyway, that's my opinion. I don't care for him as a character and some do. It is what it is. Either way though, as someone like Tarkatan Trash tries to argue, Sonya, Johnny and Jax are original members, then why do they still not not have a compelling story what so ever about 25 years later? It's time to move on.

So they could kill her off, like Hsu Hao and stop Frost fans from giving Ed Boon future headaches with tweets asking for Frost appearance in MKX.
Her design looks plain for the same reason. They just took average female body. Gave her blue hair, some smoke for "dramatic effect", dropped same colored plain clothing, did half assed work and showed middle finger to every Frost fan.

I was never a Frost fan, but I do think she deserves better treatment than this. Her position in the story is so out of place and forced.
 
I am a bit disappointed with this issue. There was no real content, only stuff leading to the next chapter. I have waited the whole week just to see the same pictures as from the preview? It feels like they want fans only to pay money. In case of story and events it's enough to read the descriptions. Cassie vs Frost in "MMA"... Yeah, knew it for 2 or 3 weeks.
 
Can't lie. I'm only in here to see if Reptile gets enough love in a comic to handshake-confirm him for the main roster. I enjoy seeing all the speculation, though.

I like seeing Reptile fans. They're a dying breed. Kudos for sticking with the character after years and years of abuse.

Story-wise, design-wise and imo gameplay-wise. I personally found him to be almost as unbearable as Sheeva in MK9.

I stopped liking him after MK4. And even in that game, he was taking some heavy undeserving blows from Midway/Netherrealm.

If they're going for this path in killing off characters. Who's gonna be killed off when we get to what's going on with this war that's going on then when that issue hits? Sadly one side is telling me it's gonna be Reiko after seeing him in last weeks comic.
 
-Finally got to read the whole comic! I don't know about the rest of you, but i rather enjoyed it! Cassie having real life parent/child issues. Seems like Sonya is the "Bad Parent" or the more strict one which isn't too much of a surprise. I think its fitting that Johnny & Sonya aren't together or maybe its just their careers that keep them separated!

-Cassie and Jaqui seem to have a good bond although Jacqui is clearly the more level headed one.

-Sonya is now a Colonel and has her own team. Nice to see she moved up. Brings me to Jax, he was her Superior as a Major, so since we know he is alive it would make sense if he is now a General. but thats to be seen.

-Kotal Kahn is more interesting to me in a few panel strips then Shao Kahn ever was since his MKII debut 22 years ago. He's intelligent and seemingly Level headed "Disputed Emperor". He also seems to care, which is a HUGE progress than his predecessor! My theory of Kotal Kahn not necessarily being evil might still be an option.

-D'Vorah while i like that she is a "High" Rank Warriro with Kotal she seems Hotheaded.
-Erron Black had no lines but he seems to be cool calm & collected which is awesome!

-As far as Frost, all i hope is that she isn't killed off as quick as Hsu Hao. I would like to see her later on. Or more so humiliated Cassie but let her live. It might Humble her a bit. She is too much like her father, which may lead to her to take things alil more serious as she is seen in a Militaristic attire.

I rather enjoyed the Comic, satisfied my needs! keep them coming!!!!
 
Yeah poor Reptile is so unique and he's always been treated as the step child lol He deserves better. I know it's a comic but there's other smaller aspects that I find really stupid. Why is Frost in California? You don't get more out of place than that. And if this is an illegal underground death match, why is it set up like a popular club that draws attention to itself and not along the lines of a hidden thing the way it would actually be? Stuff like that and the bad dialog are the difference between good and bad writers. I can tell this guy is a rookie.
 
Read the comics. Loved it! Unfortunately they are too quick!!! Now...only on sunday.

Kotal Kahn looks BADASS.

I just can't imagine who had the marvelous idea to put him, D'vorah and Black on chains. REALLY?

As I imagined, he does not seems to be a villain. Sonya may have treated him with hugs because she had a lot of problems with Outworld.

But that would never happen if it was with Shao Kahn. He went there on diplomacy, D'vorah that was the crazy one.

Even when things went bad, Kotal stood up for diplomacy. And I don't think he made a threat, he meant to say that if Mileena reaches the throne, Earthrealm is doomed (Reiko may be Emperor).

Nice to see that Civil War is truly a civil war. Kotal reached the emperor status, but is not a consolidated and recognized title at all.

Probably, if he fights Mileena 10 years, and we are on 15 years of story, that Shinnok handed Outworld to Reiko and Mileena (I would love that!), or Mileena ruled (though i don't think she would do it alone, she doesn't have the ability Kitana has to command) just by her "right".

"Disputed Emperor". I don't think it's about Mileena only. Many parts of Outworld may not consider him Emperor.

About Cassie...as I always thought: beautiful as her mother, a-hole as her father. I liked Jacqui!

And about Frost...really? I liked. She was on a deathmatch. How in the hell could she be dressed like a cryomancer? She was dressed as the other fighters were. She was hotter than she has ever been (no irony on "hotter").

Obs 1.: Fujin does have a different costume.

Obs 2.: WHO SAW TOM CRUISE'S CAMEO? :laugh:

Obs 3.: Cassie is like her father. I hope she does not kill Frost and become a maniac.
 
Just read the comic.
It's very obvious that Frost will end up being killed off. Glad they made her look good with the mass amount of kills she allegedly has.
I like Jacqui, I don't see why they wouldn't add her. She's a good replacement for Jax, here's saying that Jax isn't in the game.
 
I read the comic, it never said anything about fujin being injured.
Maybe it was just that electricity burst raiden had in the previous ending.
Not sure why it would be a hole in his stomach though, I want to look more into it.
