SPOILER ALERT:Mortal Kombat X DIGITAL COMIC DISCUSSION

I'm so hyped up to read that issue. Been waiting a while on it.

I really hope it opens the door for Goro to start evolving. I'm sick of the way Goro has been portrayed post MK4.
Kintaro supposedly leads a Shokan uprising in later issues. I could see the Shokan getting mostly slaughtered, with Kintaro being left to blame.

Goro vs Kintaro!

Then, when Goro has lost everything, Raiden shows up and asks for his help.

Poor Goro. Will probably be wishing for death after that happens. lol

And the whole thing about him "Suffering an unimaginable loss" says something as well. NRS never tries to go the sympathetic route for their villains. You've never heard Quan Chi say "What about how I feel" or Shao Kahn confess that he was touched as a boy.

Reptile? Ok the only time he 'said' anything was in his (rather tragic) MK4 ending. Still he has the sad 'last of his race' story that always ends without him getting them back.

Not saying you can't, just wondering if you knew there was a media thread. I don't think I've ever seen you in there.

What version of Tapatalk do you have? The latest version I have only shows the word "spoiler" inside the brackets. Older versions showed you what was inside the tags.

If you have Tapatalk and it's giving you the kontents of the Spoiler tags, update Tapatalk IMMEDIATELY!

Just read Chapter 4 on iBooks.

Spoiler:
So Kotal Kahn has a cowboy-looking henchman named Erron Black. Hmm. Makes me wonder about Salazar...

/forum.

But honestly though, I'm more hyped to read this issue than I was to read the past 2.

Jacqui looks very good, kickboxing characters are always good, and her physical appearance is nice. Needs to know more about her, but from what i've seen of her introduction she'll be a nice character to play as if she's in the game. Bring in the new blood!

Remember in Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance where Muay Thai was one of the styles Jax utilized? Well, I'm guessing they will give it to her for this game's purpose. I must say, that is a cool way to introduce a character. I was hoping Jax would have a son but this is just as cool.

Wasn't Jax's original style gonna be kickboxing. Guess I can see why he passed it down.

Raiden is one careless dude. But we already knew that.

Is it me or are these 15-year-old girls being sexualized? They're certainly highly... developed for their age.

Cassie is, well... she's a teenager; hopefully she's a bit more mature in the 20/25 year marks. I like the rebellious streak for her, but a lot of her dialogue was trash ("star f-ers"?). I also like that she's as egotistical as her father, but also self-confident and sometimes vulnerable. Makes her feel human.

Interesting bit about Johnny and Sonya possibly being on bad terms. And it sounds like Johnny is really proud of his daughter, but Sonya is more focused on work.

I like that Sonya is in a high-ranking position and commands more respect. Her new outfit looks cool, but I'm not a fan of the whole attire being one color; her pants should be gray or something.

I wonder what Jax is up to. Still in the Special Forces?

Kotal is a more interesting villain in a few pages than Shao Kahn was in 5 games. Good start.

Erron Black. I like the look. Reminds me of a character from Secret Ponchos.
Spoiler:
I think he's comic-only, since he's probably gonna die soon (Kotal's fallen ally).

D'Vorah is a hothead. I was hoping she'd be an intelligent character. I guess Kotal is the smart one, which makes him even more awesome.

So the Outworld Civil War sounds like it begins 5 years after MK9. A little odd. Maybe Shinnok's assault temporarily delays the game of thrones?

And it looks like my initial speculation on Mileena's post-Shao Kahn role has been konfirmed. As Baraka explicitly stated in MK9, Mileena has a claim to the Outworld throne, but I should have remembered back in June/July that Outworld has not had a peaceful transfer of power to date.

I'm really thinking Erron Black has to be Salazar. There's just a lot the characters already have in common from what little we know of both.

Which also means I now have zero clue as to who the bow guy is.

That's an interesting theory and certainly a possibility.

Spoiler:
So you think maybe they just gave the character the Salazar name for the webseries since it's simpler and easier to remember? Or is one of the two names his real name and the other his... I don't know... codename?

As for Sonya and Johnny, it should be pointed out that their respective careers can lead to work-related separation; one's in Hollywood, the other in the military.
