Space Jam is a 1996 American live-action/animated Family film starring Michael Jordan and Wayne Knight, as well as the cast of the Looney Tunes. The movie also marks the debut of Lola Bunny. It was produced by Ivan Reitman, and directed by Joe Pytka (live-action), Tony Cervone, and Bruce W. Smith (animation). It was the first film to use digital animation.

A fictional account of Jordan's retirement from the NBA, the film was released theatrically by Warner Bros. Family Entertainment on November 15, 1996. There was also a licensed pinball game by Sega based on the film and a video game by Acclaim Entertainment. It plays out as an alternate story of Jordan's initial return to basketball, this time with him being inspired by Bugs Bunny and others. Although the film received generally negative reviews, it was a box office success, opening at #1 in the US, and grossing over $230 million worldwide. It was also the fastest-selling home entertainment subject as sales reached $100 million.

I really love this movie. i watched it as a kid until the tape wore out. looney toons, micheal jordan and basketball, hell yeah.
oh plus they had this guy in it too, which was just plain awsome.


Anyone else have any fond memories of this movie?
 
I loved Space Jam as a kid.
But I never watched it again after I caught my brother looking at Lola 34 on the computer :cry:
 
Space Jam was the first VHS tape I have ever owned. I watched the movie to death MJ is my favorite B-ball player of all time and Bugs is a ****ing beast
 
Critics don't know what gold this movie is this was a piece of my childhood it made me think jordan could dunk from half court. good times good times. thank you jordan and looney tunes. "Space Jam where half court dunks happen"

I agree, this was my childhood. I still have the tape to :D
