SoulCalibur V Confirmed

I wasn't sure about this game at first since I thought they were getting rid of all the old fighters, but I think I may give it a try after all. Hilde and Tira have been confirmed so I guess thats cool.
 
they are having a pre-release party in san francisco on the 24th, they will have the final build avilable. cant wait till then so we can finally find out who are the remaining six. i have a feeling that sazlamel and rock's son will make it, that would be great.

Praying its like MK9's story where its different characters.

the king kilik is back( f*ck yeah!!!!), the only thing is, if they were bringing him back then why waste a slot with xiba? i was going to create kilik anyways but i would of prefered seong mina instead of xiba, its two different weapons+style. im glad about setsuka's style being in but where is talim? a lot of ppl are upset about saz and yun not being in, they better have those styles in creator mode or they should at least have a great dlc plan to please the fans, ill give them the benefit of a doubt and say that it was due to time constraints because that last row does looks lazy.

did we really need a pat/pyrrah clones and 3 mimic characters?

im a bit dissapointed with the bottom row but this game is still gonna be awesome.

I don't get why there has to be 3 Edge Master type characters. All the game needs is one, Edge Master, Charade, or Inferno. Also couldn't Alpha Patroklos and Omega Pyyrah be alt. costumes or something?

Good point. Elysium should have a whole new style with a staff weapon and should be able to shoot white energy projectiles. Something like that. Also, since she is "angelic" she should also shoot arrows.

Yea, Kilik could play like a more powerful Xiba with different moves and Soul Edge type energy projection (I assume his red outline, means he is evil/possessed by soul edge). And Elysium could be like Talim's style maybe? or uses the power of Soul Calibur, in the way you suggested.

Oh yeah. That would be awesome!

This game is getting interesting. I want Seung Mina though. If she isn't in, I'll create her using Xiba's style. ;-)

Well, the article that revealed Kilik also showed a link to Alpha Patroklos and Edge Master using Setsuka's style (Who doesn't appear to be in the roster), So perhaps Talim's, Seung Mina's, and the others styles who did not appear on the roster will be in character creation mode, or utilized by Edge Master type characters.

ok maybe im reading too much into it but Esylium or whatever her name is though everybody is speculating that she's sophitia, kilik and edge master will have their own set of moves in addition to their abilities to use other weapons. the angelic figure uses all the females style, kilik uses all the males style and edge master uses all of them........ there has to be more to it. in the first picture that they showed revealing edge master, he has a unique sword that doesnt seem to fit any other style in the game and i dont remember edge master having this sword in the first soulcalibur, this is why i think he will have his own set of moves. i bet kilik has his own set of moves too because kilik was the first with that style why should he copy xiba style when he had it first, i bet u kilik has a more agressive style from xiba, i cannot picture kilik balencing on the staff like a monkey or doing the riding the pony move lol.

setsuka fans should be happy because even though the character itself is not in the game her style is and you can create her, im sure that the styles of other fan favorites are in the game aswell like Talim,saz,yun,seong mina, just read this quote.

"the character creation mode has more locked slots for styles than the arcade character select screen"
