your absolutly right. Eks is probably some kid that sits in front of his tv playing videogames for like 9 hours a day. im an adult, i work for a living. i could care less if im the best in the world at a game. ya Eks could probably kick my ass at mk. who cares. i actually play other games to(not just fighters). i like to have FUN playing a game. i dont want it to be a chore to play. why should you have to lose once in order to do a friendship or animality or whatever? can you imagine the complaints if they made it so u had to be in round 3 or you couldnt block or whatever to do a fatality?? everyone would hate the game.

@hansplusmatic: i dont expect everyone to say stuff like " great idea oratnik13" or whatever. my point is for you to just simply state your opinion alone even if you dissagree with mine. theres no need for us to like start a huge war over nothing on this forum. you might think im doing exacly that, but attacking my posts just because i have a different opinion or like in a game than you is the start of it.

to tell u all the truth, i would actually like to see SOME friendships in the game, even though i dont really want the humor. but only some characters should have them. i understand what u were saying about them before hansplusmatic, but it would still not look right to see certain characters do them. same goes for animalities. i think only a few characters should be able to do babalities to.

oh and nasty freak and backbackback lowpunch: kitana looks great. wait untill we see more of her then start the kitana looks talk.

You're still not getting it, ortanik. You suggesting that every finisher have special requirements just shows how off the mark you are. (Yeah, I know you're not seriously suggesting that, but it's such an obviously ridiculous idea that using it as an example highlights your misunderstanding.)

The whole reason friendships and stuff like that are special is because you have to handicap yourself to do them. Fatalities are a method of "humiliating" your opponent, and the other finishers make it that much worse since you have to win even though you have a (self-imposed) that handicap.

I understand that you want a game that's easy to get into and have fun with, but some of us want a game with extra nuances. Boon has made it abundantly clear that this game is being created with that as a goal, so you suggesting that these handicaps be ignored shows how you're missing what this game is about, too.

The idea of DISCUSSION forum is lost on certain people, evidently.
 
Why the hell are you guys always attacking Nasty and Oratnik? All they do is voice their opinions and you just go after them, their puttin up some nice ideas for the game and all you guys are doin is complaining and attacking. I say we just drop it son.

I think they should put test your might x-rays in the game along with the ones they have now. The more you tap the more damage or the more hits
 
They talk about adding ridiculous (to most people) stuff or talk about keeping good ideas out. I'm sorry, but I absolutely do not wanna see Cage ripped in half via his colon. That's just obnoxious.

And oratnik is obviously not getting what we're saying or that a big part of this game is being done to pay homage to the old-school fans who made this game a sensation to begin with.
 
I just noticed that they mixed up Cyrax's and Sektors win poses...

Seriously...WTF? Fix that sh!t ASAP! Looks stupid.
 
I feel what you're saying about some of the things they post pissing you off, but at the same time attacking them and saying their wrong isn't going to help anyone or get them to stop. Personally if I hear Nasty_Freak talk about shoving something in someones ass again I'm gonna tear my balls off! But I respect their and your right to say whatever you want.
 
I agree with Eks. It's not just their ideas that irritate. When anyone disagrees with their ideas, they often react in an unreasonable way. Telling someone to skip-over their posts is pretty much not possible when everyone is trying to have a discussion.
A reply of "well you're just stupid" or "well you're just some loser who plays video games all day" is completely immature and unneeded. Constantly pointing out that you dis-like someone (talking to you Nasty_Freak) is also unnecessary.
If you want to be respected for your opinions, then you have to show a little respect yourselves.

Nobody was being disrespectful but you. You started talking about "crap" like not blocking and mercies, ignoring an interesting part of this series' history. Like I said, this is, in part, a throw-back, so friendships, etc make perfect sense.

Also, I think it's disrespectful for you to call such things "crap" when that may be part of Netherrealm's vision. If you had just said "no friendships" and left it at that, I would've been cool with it. Instead, you ignored the legacy of this series and possibly insulted the final product.

This isn't about the final insult. I was never insulting you in the first place, but you took it horribly wrong and raged at me for it. I wasn't going to sit idly by while you told me "i have issues" while at the same time completely looking past the fact that this board IS for discussion.
 
THINGS THAT NEED TO CHANGE:

Kitana's Hair and Fan Lift Animation need serious work also some of her moves look wierd

Fatalities: Some of them are far too tame and UNCREATIVE for my liking come on guys i thought this was meant to be one of the main selling points. Be Creative stab eyes slice out tongues rip out intestines spines hearts slit throats that kinda stuff the only Fatality that i've been impressed with is Kung Laos STEP IT UP!!

Also where are the horrific screams that use to be in MK????, UMK3 and Deception handled this quite well I don't hear it and I'm very disappointed if someone is getting chopped or burnt to death they're usually very vocal about it.....dnt believe me....just ask Mileena http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrjraJs4JpI&feature=related

Stages: Stages so far haven't been too bad I like Pit 2 Deadpool and Living Forest but some of the others like the belltower, rooftop have lost its dark and gritty look i'd like future stages to look darker especially stages like the Church/Subway/Streets/Scorpions Lair the originals shouldn't look darker/grittier then these new ones...I also tend to notice that the lighter stages make the character models not look as good

Overall Gameplay still looks slightly clunky especially when stringing combos also hit detections are slightly off

I gotta say i like the Pre-fight animation. It fits in well. Im just curious, will each character have the same repeated Intro or will they have different ones, depending on who there fighting.

Either way i think its a great addition that their finally using!

Intros:
Kano vs Sonya- Kano mocks Sonya that she's found him, but can she catch him. (Referring to Kanos many escapes after he's been in Sonyas custody)

Scorpion vs Sub-Zero- Who are you? You dont remember your victims Sub-Zero. You Made me, You sent me to HELL, Im here to return the favor! (Scorpion revealing who he is)

Kitana vs Mileena- You will never Rule Edenia? Well i guess ill just have to settle with Killing you! (Kitana pitying Mileena)

Change:
I heard somewhere that Cyrax wasn't fully completed in his design. I hope for the most part that is true. Idk but it looks like a lackluster version of Cyrax and i know they have some similarities in their appearence, but i was hoping for something that seperated them instead of there Ketchup & Mustard theme.

I know its 2D fighting with a 3D surrounding, but i was kinda hoping the fighting Mechanics would have flowed like how they did SFIV & SSFIV!

Not really a complaint but more of a way to spruss up the Fatalities. Using Sub-Zeros fatality for this example. As youknow he freezes the opponent up to their waist and rips the upper half of their body off. if you noticed where the spine is, its frozen and sharp from the ice. After Sub-Zero lifts them off and showcases their corpse, he could slam their head on the icicle sharp spine or impale them thru their chest!
