Should There be Joker?

Honestly, no.
Though interpretations tend to vary, most of them paint the Joker as a mediocre-to-poor hand-to-hand combatant. Not that it really matters since this game won't be canonical for either franchise, but nevertheless, it's worth noting.
If we're talking about more Batman villains, I'd say Killer Croc would be a great addition. Croc vs Reptile..now there's an epic battle.

Yes, because The Joker is the best villian of any of the comic book franchises.
And I hope he is based off of Heath Ledgers Joker too.

I'm a bit on the fence about him because while his personality and darkness would fit in great with the MK theme, I've never known him to be much of a fighter. I'd say yes anyway though, could have some great special moves!

Yes. They can't not have the Joker. He's the ultimate killing machine. And after years of fighting Batman, he's bound to have developed some sick fighting skills.
His special moves will be awesome, too. Acid Squirt, Marble Bombs, gas, etc.
He has a ton of potential for fatalities, too. Personally, I'd like to see him use his BANG! gun for one. He pulls it out, and the defeated charatcer holds his arms up and flinches, but when he pulls the trigger a flag comes out with the word BANG on it. He starts laughing and the beaten character relaxes and takes a sigh of relief. But then the Joker lifts the gun up and shoots the flag through the other guys head. That would be a good one. It'd also be cool too see him take out a razor and give his enemy a Glasgow smile. Brutal.

that was pretty clever fatality but i tink it will be his signature Joker Venom where they die of uncontrollable laughter. imagine an mk character smiling!!!!

GREAT ideas, guys. I cant wait to use him. I hope Team MK was thinking like you guys. :mrgreen:
BTW, it shoud be just a matter of weeks before he IS confirmed.

Not a big joker fan to be honest, if he's in..hes in. If not, I won't be losing sleep over it.
I'd rather have Bane, I completely agree with Leo and TRZA. Joker is far from a fighter, so for that reason he really doesn't appeal all that much to be but since he's iconic he might make the cut.

Uh, didn't Joker beat Lex in Salvation Run? The Joker is definatly the superior fighter of the two.
Also, there's a theory in Morrison's Arkham Asylum that Joker recreates himself each day. So one day he could be a good fighter, the next a weakling. It all depends on what he wants.
Bottom line: The Joker is an ass kicker. MK vs. DC wouldn't be complete without him.

nice point. so what do you think he should look like? should joker look like his classic self or look like ledger? personally i would want to see ledger since they want to make mkvsdc more grittier

Well, I made my opinion on that subject known in another thread, but I'll reiterate it here. I think the clothing for the Joker in The Dark Knight is phenominal. The costuming just screams (Or is it cackles?) "THE JOKER LOOKS LIKE THAT!" But the "dirty make-up" face I absolutely despise. I want to see the Joker with a plain white face, red lips, and green hair. None of that dirty ratty hair and messed up face.

maybe they'll have alternate costumes. they should. like flash gets his helmet kind and batman gets his costume from the movie, the all black one.

I absolutely think that Ledger's Joker should not be in this game. To me, his performance will be a masterpiece that should not be duplicated in any shape or form. They should stick to the comic book or animated series version if he's to be in the game.
Even as an extra costume or skin, I think it's a bad idea. Imagine Ledger's Joker using an acid flower or a gag gun. That just doesn't make sense to me.

One of the points of the Joker is that he is kind of well presented, kind of a parody of the 'normal' man. His hair is supposed to be neat, and his suit clean, but the colours show that he's mental.
His fighting prowess depends on the writer, I like to think that he is a skilled fighter. After all, he needs to be. One thing that everyone agrees on, however, is that he's very agile.

I just posted a thread on the DC Universe Online game and they portray The Joker as one of their top characters.
Now after watching that, I see no possibility that The Joker is not in MK vs DC.
Onto his costume, they gave him the bright purple suit in the game. Now what they'll do in MKDC, who knows, but i hope they go for The Dark Knight Joker rather than the cartoon Joker.
