Shang Tsung's Render

Well would you look at that?
I'm f*cking blown away. I don't even like Shang Tsung, but I'm pretty much erect right now.
Notice how he's looking a bit older again? Grey hairs?

Man, I'm loving that render. The soulskull in his hand is a great touch. I still find something offputting about the beard...it says more to me "The Master" than it says "Shang Tsung" you know?

you know... this is a little off topic, but that render suddenly brings it to the forefront of my thoughts...

for the first three games, and even in the lame conquest tv show, and in the movies we had real actors playing the roles of all the fighters, excluding a few obvious ones like goro etc..

then CG became the all encompassing and most dynamic means of creating a video game, and the actors were dropped. which makes sense.

but doesn't it bother anyone else that, ever since that occurred, we have fighters with names like liu kang, shang t'sung, or kung lao that look about as oriental as johnny cage? or is that just me?

otherwise yeah. looks cool. beats Shang with his lil' chinese hat and ponytail-braid
