Sektor

I'm not so sure about that, bbblp.

I heard somewhere that the Medallion contains the souls of all the previous Lin Kuei grandmasters after they die (which would explain why Sektor's father's soul flew into the Medallion after he was slain).

Sektor is a soulless cyborg, so unless he dies, he has nothing to worry about. Just a theory, though

I understand that, but Sektor's ending says

His father warned him that wearing the dragon medallion brought much power, but at a cost.

I'm eager/scared to see what Sektor is going to have to pay

Maybe he will become good or he may die by the hands of cyrax ORRR!!! The Lin Kuei will fall :D

Was anyone else disappointed in how Sektor's human form came out?
I thought it was cool at first, especially the animations with the missiles and flamethrower.
But now it just doesn't look like how I imagined Sek as a human.. Cyrax definitely got the better human alt, at least I think so.

Sektor's 2nd fatality in MK9 never gets old

I hope in MK10 he has Compactor fatality

I was really hoping he would get that as a "klassic fatality" with his MK3 kostume.. but no :x
Ah well, I agree his Scarecrow fatality never gets old to me either.. but his rocket one sure does.
I haven't done that one in forever.
And his babality was the hardest one for me to do.. took me Forever to get it right.

I think one of the effects of using the medallion is rapid aging. This can be evident in how Sub Zero aged very quickly from Mk4 to MKDA to MK:D (in which he even starts to have wrinkles) while the other characters showed no signs of aging. Another after effect of using the medallion maybe that it may have negative impact on the user as regards to the use of his power. Notice how Sub- Zero's skin became progessively paler? Although it amplifies his powers, the powers consume his body and life force and make him age rapidly kind of thing. :p

Perhaps a similar fate will await Sektor in MK10.

Damn Jinko, observant as hell :)
That makes perfect sense.

I wonder how it will affect an individual that doesn't really age.
I just hope he at least makes it to MK10.
No unseen death in between the events of MK9 & the next game.

Hmmm, great point FJ!

Sektor is a cyborg so he doesn't really age, but maybe his programming, therefore his sanity, might deteriorate more rapidly as a result of the Medallion? I dunno, just another theory

That actually sounds like a good theory to go by. :p

Perhaps the medallion may amplify his powers so much so that his armor and systems overheat too quickly, forcing him to shut himself down in short spans of time. Thus in order to overcome this he asks the Lin Kuei engineers to make him a more badass, heat resistant armor and we may even see a new version of Sektor, with more and improvised weapons at his arsenal. Another random theory!

Cyborgs are half human so his human body will still age which might result in him gaining more knowlage which might explain why he tries to upgrade himself wich leads him to get more savage and crazy. It would be cool to see his armor gain more human features and different powers boombs and lazers kind of like predator but in mk 10 he needs new powers.rrryrrry

This song reminds me of Sektor. Badass song. Espically the second half of the song. Fastest song I've ever danced to yet I still love it<33.

When you think about it, Sektor is the ultimate hunting and killing machine

In addition to being devoid of emotion, ruthless and also enhanced strength due to being a cyborg, he's got a host of weapons and abilities at his disposal such as rockets, flamethrowers, heat-seeking missiles, teleportation, a jet propulsion system built in his joints so that he can fly, etc.

Although I liked his Tekunin storyline, I do agree that he should stay loyal to the Lin Kuei, and become the main rival to Sub-Zero for control of the Lin Kuei

Conflict would also arise between Sub-Zero's and Sektor's different visions for the Lin Kuei

While Sub-Zero wants to reform and change the Lin Kuei ultimately for the better, Sektor is a traditionalist who believes that the old Lin Kuei ideals are perfect and that the Lin Kuei should remain the way it's always been

May be canon, it may not be. His tag out animation is the same as Sektor's. His chest opens up, his palms release jet fire and he flies away.

Funny you should say that, I had a similar idea to this for something.

Also can't Sektor turn invisible too? Cyber Smoke is basically the same as how you described Sektor, devoid of emotion, he just has some different tools under his belt.
