Say YES/NO to MK characters coming back

Big YES for Nitara,my favorite of the DA newcomers. This game really should have a variety of character types and species, and with a proper revamp,Nitara should have a second chance.

I give her a big YES too! Vampires fit in Mortal Kombatthanks to their very bloody nature and I just know that if a vampire were to appear in MKX, it would look terrific! I would love to see Nitara's MKDA fatality reimagined.

And for those saying that vampires do not fit Mortal Kombat, tell me how do they not fit in if saurians, demons, shokans, ninjas, centaurs, sorcerers, gods, robots do? I never understood the argument "*Insert a character or species* doesn't fit Mortal Kombat" since there is already so much diversity in MK, there is no true way of finding out what fits and what does not fit Mortal Kombat.

Allow me to elaborate. MK's representation of vampires don't fit within the series, imo. If NRS was to revamp their design completely and make them a little more MK-like, I would be more welcoming towards them. At the moment they're just stupid looking. Humans with giant obnoxious wings and fangs. I mean, really?

Sure you do have a valid point, but design-wise MKDA was much more limited, the ideas were great on paper, but in-game they did not look that impressive, I mean just look at MKDA Reptile. If Nitara was in MKX, she could be amazing.

Nope, I just don't find her interesting.

In a game like MKX where the roster is limited and a good part of it is composed by new characters, I would really prefer to put possibly key characters.

What I like about characters like her is because they expand the story into directions out of the "popular center", and shows other races, new adventures, you know, it turns the story richier.

But with that quantity of new characters, the returning ones should be key characters, because the new guys/girls will already complete the role of adding new stories and lifes.

What I keep thinking is that we know nothing about this game. They revealed Kotal Kahn, one of the guys to be beaten. That's completely strange. The rest must be a big surprise, lots of stories, so the returning ones must be very important, and she was never inside this "important" thing. I didn't mean "popular", I mean important, someone who makes the difference.

Nitara...

I'm kinda on the fence with her. I don't want to be associated with the recent fad of vampires, but at the same time, I got way too attached to all the rock 'n' roll references in her MKDA Konquest mode. Plus, her alternate costume is CLEARLY inspired by the almighty Gene Simmons of the Hottest Band in the World, KISS. Me being a rock/metal fan for as long as I can remember, that's too much to sway me into rejecting her.

My vote is YES! Dammit, another rock 'n' roll reference with Nitara!

Like I said, they would have to make big changes to her design. The wings would have to be toned down drastically. They are just too big. A large boss character is one thing, but a playable combatant who takes up that much space has got to be reworked.

I say Yes to Nitara. She had a good storyline in Deadly Alliance and used Reptile and Cyrax as pawns for her plan to get the orb that held her realm and Outworld together. If she is not on the main roster, I'll be fine with her as a DLC character.

YES, for Nitara

Now, even though I hated the design for Nitara in the 3D days, I voted YES because she was 1 of those characters in that era that wasn't really on my shit list and also wasn't 1 of the few characters that I really liked from that era.
What I did see with Nitara, at the time, was wasted potential.

There's also another side to the dumb Tween fad coin of vampires, and that's the Dracula / BLADE movie ( 1998 ) type of vampires, which I feel that Midway TOTALLY missed the mark with, at the time.
Take out the Gargoyle wings and high-heels and Nitara's costume / visual design already goes up 100%, in my book.
NO WINGS, dammit.
MK X has all the makings for a vampire character, with its dark and gritty tone, IF it's done right.
Not to mention, it seems like some of these stages take place in Outworld, which is where Nitara is from (Outworld Marketplace, The Jungle, The Kove) and I could also see the majority of stages being from Outworld if we see the rise and fall of Kotal Kahn and other rulers.

Nope she's dumb. And the only thing dumber than Nitara are her clunky wings. People always say her large rump is attractive in some way, shape or form. Nope not seeing it. She has no redeeming qualities. Skarlet did blood based attacks and fatalities better anywhos.

Like Taj Gill said, vampires & werewolves were ruined for me bc of the Twilight Sagas...

BUT MK and rectify all that by doing Nitara justice. I liked her a lil in MKDA but she lacked something to me. Her background story caught my interest and i wanted to know more about her Realm; Vaeternus. i think with what we've seen with MKX and most recently with the amazing job done to Kano, im sure they can turn our heads again with Nitara and make her relevant/interesting.
So Nitara gets a SLOW YES instead of a fast no from me.

*but it won't hurt my feelings if she isn't in.*

YES from me. I enjoyed playing her in DA a good deal, and had one of my favorite fatalities in the game (It was blunt in the way I like Fatalities to be. No extra flair, which I don't mind in the right circumstance)

NO for Nitara, the second (after Mileena) lady in MK, who likes to use her own teeth againt her enemies.

IMO Vampires could be another interesting species in Mortal Kombat, but I can't find that with Nitara.

I like her Fatality in Deadly Alliance and both looks (primary and alternative), but Nitara's special moves disappointing me. 2 variations of Blood Spit (normal and jumping) are OK, but Unicorn Kick is just a copy of Tanya's Split Kick. Quick Escape doesn't make me more interested in Nitara.

Does Vampire need a wings to fly? Nitara uses wings only while she jumps. What a waste of idea to look. Sindel can fly without wings and I think Queen is much more interesting character, than Winged Vampire.

She doesn't need to use her teeth.
She could also get some life back when the blood of her enemies spills on her.

Skarlet is the blood character now, though, so I could see why people wouldn't want to give Nitara a 2nd chance.
